Uh oh..theres gonna Bee trouble..

GTFOI !!!
NONE of you will buy one anyway, none of you would probably buy one even if it did or didn't have all the **** you all constantly bitch about.....so what?
Build what YOU want and drive the piss out of it!

Jeez, Darius. Where were you during the 2013 Dart thread? That f#@ker went like, 4 pages before any sanity showed up. This ones pretty mild. :lurk:

Girls - Girls - Girls

Give it a freaking break will ya.

Fiat didn't come up with the Super Bee idea. Mercedes did, 5 years ago and it was 4 doors and it was Yellow.

This "It's got 4 doors" crying reminds me of a bunch of fat old bags in hair rollers sitting around the kitchen table, complaining because Sally up the street with the firm boobs, is getting laid by the mailman, and none of them are.

I would love a new "2 door" Charger. Ain't gonna happen. They have the Challenger, which by the way, is nearing it's production end. Market wants 4 doors. SUVs, pick-ups and yes, Charger's all have 4 doors and they all sell.

Be glad you have more of a selection than a K car or an Omni.

I was hoping someone would remind the folks that this has been done (Super Bee) many years ago by DiamlerChrysler. The were/are SRT 8's with decals and "high impact" colors. Nothing to see here people, move along.

.

Dead on, they had superbee badges on the first LX based chargers ... just an SRT-8 with decals and interior appearance ... i like 'em ! ..

yea. funny how i built a srt8 charger witht hat super bee trim level using the off the shelf parts i had laying around.
426 cid, knocked out a set of heads and a intake for it. dropped a small by small cam in her. headers ect..you get the picture...

in the end on 10psi through a drivetrain rated at 18 percent loss the thing pulled 739/700 at the wheel...

on 20 psi they do about 1100 no. i have no idea how to say this but any one who cant appreciate that is lost. go drive one of them..you might be suprised

here is a pic and a dyno sheet...if i can dig em up.

sorry. its all on another computer...ill dig up the dyno sheets and a pic or two.

thing pulled 23 mpg on the trip home too

You built a blown 700 rwhp engine with stuff you had laying around?! Holy dumpster-diver, Batman! I oughtta be able to get 375 from my small block just by digging through your trash!

Like I said above, this thread is pretty mild compared to some new-car-with-a-revered-name threads I've seen. Less bashing and more understanding of how car sales work.
Now, if they start SRT-ing Fiat 500s, I expect some noise...

I grew up in the 60's, watched the muscle cars change from year to year all for the sake of sales and progress. Each year became better for the most part until the early to mid 70's and then it turned to ****. I have driven Mopars all my life and will continue to do so BUT I will not drive or own the crap they are building today. I will continue to do as I am and that is to restore, drive and enjoy the cars that will always be remembered as "MuscleCars". There is no more Race on Saturday, sell on Monday so they, the car companies just watch the bottom line..if they really cared what the enthusiast thought they would ask.......last time I looked I didn't see the "Chrysler Corp" logged on. Just my 2 cents.

About those four doors......................:eek::eek::eek:

I personally cannot wait to buy the new super bee. Just bought a new Mopar 11 Charger, but for the same price I can have the bee. T
I could argue all days with all of crybabies whining about the "there's no four door chargers". It's a business, money needs to be made. It is a charger, that's what they named it. They named it that because it will sell, and that is the point. I'll be sure to post pics when I get it.

Forgot to add, I do not like the new dart, it looks like an import. Sorry about the typos, wrote the last post on my phone and that doesn't mesh well with fat fingers.

I am a die hard muscle car guy as much or more than most, I too don't care much for 4 dr versions of iconic muscle cars either but,Come on people it's 2012, not 1969 anymore & won't be like that era ever again, especially not with the current Govt. regs & stds., at least they still offer some sort of performance cars, be realistic {still can find Mopar-10, Rumble Bee, SRT-10, Vipers, SRT-4}, new SRT's, Super Bee, Yellow Jacket, Challenger R/T SRT-8, Charger SRT-8, Jeeps even with SRT-8, 4 drs or not it's, they perform very well, go out & test drive a few, you may be really surprised, way better than what was mostly offered in the late 70's-80's to early 90's, Remember the freaken K-Cars, I for one, personally think the Italians/Fiat are doing a great job "so far", at least they aren't running the company into the ground or bankruptcy, like the former group of good old boys at Chrysler did, lets see what they can do in the coming few years, at least the Chrysler corporation is still her, not on scrap heap, like it was so close to being, just a couple of short years ago... Support them, instead of just complaining all of the time, or your just part of the problem, if people don't support them, they will be gone & you won't have to worry about the 4 dr performance cars, or any Mopars any longer, for that matter... rant over

I saw on discovery or one of those channells where the motors for the challengers were built in Mexico and then shipped up to Canada where the cars are assembled, whats American about that?I'll stick with my 1969 made in America car.

Enuff with ALL the retro stuff that all car makers are producing. If they could come up with something NEW they wouldnt have to look back 40 years for fresh ideas. Iv never feel in love with the new Chargers but I think the Challenger is ok. But what is next a retro Rambler, maybe a Edsel. The automakers must think the buyers are simple minded to think we will buy something based on the reputation of a car produced 40 years ago.

I didn't grow up in the 60's so I guess I never developed the attachment to the names as you guys did but I could care less what they call it. I worry more about what it is capable of and if it serves my purposes then its name...dart, superbee...call it Jacob I don't worry about it. In this day and age marketers will call it Jesus if it sells to religious folk. Remember the muscle cars as they were and realize that today we are in a world of profits, sales, and greed. I guess my point is ignore it if it bothers you but its not worth raising the blood pressure.

Simple fact: We are the minority and we don't make their sales figures matter.

We are simple minded as a species...they do it because it works.

I like the 2012 Charger. Besides the new challenger and viper I think the new charger is the best looking car to come out of dodge in 35 yrs. I would love to see a 2 door charger with pop up headlights like a 68 or 69. But at least we still have a rear wheel drive car with a high horsepower V8. Look at GM and Ford they have nothing to compete with the charger. We are lucky that Chrysler (Fiat) even makes these cars. How much longer will it last before all we can get is a front wheel drive 4 cyl piece of crap is the question. I believe dodge used the super bee name on the a body in Mexico in the 70's.

Thank you! So sick of people whining about the Chargers. If you want a 2 door chrysler product buy the Challenger. Some people need 4 doors, be happy a V8 powered sedan is available that looks this nasty:

That Charger looks pretty damn good... I'd drive it... Probably wouldn't buy it though, I'm an old car guy who likes allot of the new cars too, just way too pricey for me right now, if I had the extra cash or could justify the payments, I would own a bunch of newer RWD V-8 stuff...
