White 70 Roadrunner project

I have a 70 RR that is sub lime green, original paint was silver with black stripe, I like the green very much and do plan to return it to it original color to keep the value up. If this is what you want you should do it, its your car, and your chose. Good luck with it and have fun.
 
I also like the seldom seen white combo. The black treatment is an awesome idea but I'm partial to contrasting colors like that, makes them really stand out. As far as your go-wing and deck lid I would maybe look for a donor one to mount the wing on if you want to run it and keep your original in the rafters if you decide to go without. Lots of satellites out there to grab from.
On the wheels I like both suggestions. I really think it comes down to personal choice. I've also seen some steelies made from deeper tubs (widened wheels) with the poverty caps on them that looked mean but at the same time subtle. I flipped back and forth on my cars for wheels and ended up with a couple sets. when my mood changes I can switch.
Once again, nice car and I think either way it'll turn out good!
 
Oh, by the way, is it a 4 speed or auto?

It is originaly Automatic but im gonna covert it to a 4 speed with pistol grip console since it already has its original console brackets on the hump.

Was cleaning out the garrage in the back and sold a whole bunch of stuff the drive shafts still need to be put back.

Here is an updated pic of my roadrunner I put 15 inch rallye wheels on it and painted the center part of the hood that was sublime green so it wouldnt stick out on the white so bad. Also put in the driver side door vent window assy and the door window that was missing.

I finaly manged to find a driver side seat track and now have the bucket seats bolted up instead of sitting on the floor.
So far all I have done is accumulte parts for the car mostly. I have found and installed the upper door belt moudings, front fender C mouldings, a straight front bumper, restored the grill, polished all the drip rail mouldings and belt mouldings, pulled out the tail lights and polished the lenses to like new condition, put an antenna on the fender, back seat came from a charger and is mint paid $180, front seats paid $450 with only the passenger side seat track. I have a correct 1970 B body Dana 60 and an 18 spline (Hemi) 4 speed and a console hurst pistol grip shifter for it. It has a oversized butchered hole cut into the floor hump for someones cave man attempt at putting in a 4 speed that I need to fix to put in a correct 4 speed hump pic attached. Still need a good restorable Rallye instrumnet cluster and I guess Ill never find any rocker mouldings for it bought some off e-bay and they were not even close they were about 6 inches to long they actualy went into each wheel opening cause they were so long !
Next I want to pull out the dash assy and restore all of it such as the heater box frame assy guage cluster sterring column, already have the 4 speed pedals restored and waiting. I will also need to figure out the correct locations to mount reverse light and air grabber switch at that time. This will be the perfect time to paint the interior of the car when the dash is out.

if it were mine i would do this. (white was my 2nd choice)

white paint,, white interior, black factory( flat) hood stripes , flat black go wing, black carpet, black road runner stripe on the deck lid, black vinyl top ,black brake, drums with new magnum 500's (all chrome):werd: ......all that lack of color will be BADASS looking with the orange air grabber face when its open .:headbang:
 
I pulled out the front windshield yesterday so I can remove the dash assy to start restoring it.
Today I recieved the under the hood air grabber box assy that was broken on my hood the new one has 3 cracks in it but will be fixable. here is a pic of the broken air box and the good airbox.

I see your finding some parts, im going to leave a couple links for you, I don't know if they can help with everything but if you do need things you'll have a couple places more for a shot at getting them. i hope it helps you some, i know myself how hard it is to find parts and the ones you just cant get because there not made anymore, makes it harder, and sad, but more expensive... We never know and you can email or call them, at least two i remember talking with. Never hurts to have extra resources at your side, i watch more then talk most of the time but thought being i had these you could use them maybe.. Good luck, its going to be a nice ride..

Pulled the dash assy out and disasembled it today. Will start the sand and paint this weekend.

Not a RR but i did this car a few years ago. White cars are awesome. Your car looks good with the rallye's too!

Just finished up with restoring the air grabber set up today. Here is a pic take a look at my earlier post of the before. Now I need to get the seal for it and clean up the Vacumn Actuator and bracket.

I know Dante's is fixing to run a big sell on Legendary Interior and any thing else you need for your air grabber you can get from Mike at BE@A and he is a good guy to deal with. I am close to Corpus Christi TX car made a few rounds came out of the Dallas Fort Worth area from a guy that had a large amount of cars that sold them to Rudy Ramon in Ok from there it went to Guthrie OK and then I bought it. This is my second White Roadrunner that came from OK.

If you need the measurements on the air grabber switch are any help hooking it up just let me know. Did your car have the drive train in it? I haven't been back to Corpus since i got out of the service back in the early 70's but I did have a good time there. I get you the paint info. for your dash if you want it if your going to paint it back black. I have a lot of little stuff left over from mine. Ronnie

Funny you asked that question I was just thinking today that I need to locate the air grabber switch on the dash before I paint it and before I insatll the dash back in the car I think it would be easier. I do need the little box like solenoid that mounts under the dash and would also need the correct location to mount it also. I could also use the dash paint info you used on yours it will be black. My car was missing a lot of parts when I got it and is still missing some parts to much to mention here. It did not have any drivetrain either.I will send you a pm with my phone number if you do not mind calling me or I can call you if you send me yours by a pm.
