Yea Will your lucky that blast didnt send you over the side, the fall from those ships isnt easy to survive from. I was a destroyer guy in the navy and had a close call one night on the way to the gulf. Me and anoughther guy were on fantail watch one night, it was rough that night but didnt seem horrible out. Out of nowhere the biggest wave Ive ever seen covered half the ship. Somehow we got slammed into the rear cannon and managed to grab the end of the gun. That one little stroke of luck saved us from being lost at sea for good. Of course we were the ones watching for overboards that night so who would have reported it. And here I sit messing with old cars now lol.

Wow....You're a lucky man Russ. That's nuts. Never had to worry about falling off a ship, being I was USAF. I got a tour of the USS Roosevelt and saw what the USN calls home at sea. Not for me, don't know how you boys do 6 months of that at a clip. I'll stick with the old G.I. tent and a 5 foot cot, parked in the sandbox..At least a guy has a little more space to himself.

Little work done here recently, while I count the drawn out seconds till the RR is painted. Riped apart the heater box, blasted all the metal doors/back tin, painted those with hi-temp cast blast, and installed a new heater core. Blew a whopping $3 bucks on some extreme weather weather stripping seal that I cut to fit. Adhesive backed but I still ran a bead of Gorilla snot weatherstrip glue along the back. $3 bucks sure beats the $30-40 bucks some folks are charging for a heater box seal kit.

The two wires off the heater blower motor are hacked. One dark green, the other Black. I'm guessing the green goes to the heater blower motor resistor in the front of the box. The black to ground? Anyone confirm this?

Here's a couple pic's. Didn't get too liberal with the camera on the rebuild. Pretty self explainatory..

and tic toc tic toc........I'm waiting on parts arriving from far far away stopping me....

Thanks '69 Net.... I can't imagine waiting weeks on end for everything you order for the car, not to mention just finding the parts and then finding someone that will ship the parts on top of that.. You fella's from oversea's have to be some pretty patient folks, that's for sure.

The dark green one on my schematic says heater resistor... I can only guess that the black is ground?

Thanks Ron....That's what I'm guessing as well

I'll snap some more pic's when the she's reassembled and the stripes are on. Ol' Skeletor has an appointment next Thursday for the Vinyl top to be put on. I'll try to sneek in some pic's before she leaves for that.

LOL!! Me too buddy...Me too. The grey was getting a little old.

After seeing her in paint, I'm totally glad I went with black. Love it! Just sitting in the booth with the panels off, the car still looked like mischief waiting to happen.

Can't wait to get the bird on the road...ways to go yet. I gotta make it down to your neck of the woods when she's road ready. Gotta get Black Sheep a ride in the Black Bird!
Fire up your GTX, swing by Detroit, Kidknapp Matt and go tear up Woodward!
