Have any of you tried contacting Keisler Eng lately? I ordered a Perfect Fit RS500 5 speed kit w/ a hyd clutch upgrade back on Oct 7th 2011. The estimated ship date was 3 months at the time of purchase. I've called/voice mailed several times with no luck. Even tried emailing Chris. So far, I think their customer service is questionable. You would think that their CS would be more responsive considering I spent over $3500 on their product, or at least put in some effort to keep their customers informed. Who is our Keisler Eng rep on this site?

Thx,

I personally have no experience with them though I have been reading some bad reviews with this exact problem lately. Personally I would call twice and email once, after a week I would file a small claims suit based on non-delivery of goods after payment and get my money back.

I've seen this happen a lot with aftermarket parts for the import market. Not saying it's the case here without both sides, but often times they will refuse to respond past their delivery timeframe and drag it out, trying to prevent you from recourse by preventing you from attempting to rectify. Generally it seems as though this is so that they can try to meet the terms of the purchase at a much later date than agrgeed upon without consideration. What I've seen work well is phone bills showing call history trying to make contact as well as receipts for certified mail. Bring that, along with the original bill of sale and any sales agreement that was issued at the time of the charge to small claims court. It's a HUGE pain in the rear, but, they'll start the process to get your money back and more importantly get the companies attention for you if all is as you've said. I imagine it'll either take forever to get your money back, or you'll get what you purchaseed REALLY quick.

and to think i was thinking about ordering one of these kits soon

Do you know if we have a Keisler Eng rep as a sponsor on this site?

I sent Chris Hale another email requesting information on my order yesterday, so I'll see if I get a response today. I really hope this doesn't turn into a nightmare of a purchase.

When you file a claims suit like kb mentioned, it usually gets their attention pretty fast. Might send them a registered letter stating that the next letter will be a notification of a pending suit....

There has been either a Keisler representative or advocate for them that has posted here in the past when other threads with problems with their products or service have been an issue. Maybe they will see this thread.

They are a paid advertiser/sponsor on this site.

So far, no calls or emails from them today either. I'm hoping to not have to go this route, but I definitely will if they fail to make an effort to reply or call me soon. This is too expensive of a purchase to let go for too long.

Also, where are their offices or business located? Maybe you or someone you trust are nearby and can stop by in person. Obviously not to stir the pot or make it worse, it's just considerably more difficult to ignore a problem when it's staring you in the face. Who knows, maybe a preferable outcome for both parties can be obtained with a little face to face seriousness and honesty.:hippy2:

lol

Personally, if you are having issues now contacting them for something that hasn't shipped, what's gonna happen if you have other issues later. If I was you, I'd contact my cc company to dispute the transaction for a refund and find another dealer of tko's. Jamey

its called a charge back.
the credit company will give them 20 days to respond. if there not responding then your will be refunded.

might as well start it now.

cant believe that no one is answering any phone calls tho. i would be curious what shaffi would say if he knew what was going on...

[FONT=&quot]I was finally able to get in touch with Chris today. Looks like there was a problem with the design of the tail housing on the RS500 PerfectFit that would require mods to the torsion bar cross member (for the mid sixty's B-bodies) and Chris was not made aware of it until recently. So it would have been a longer wait. He offered a TKO500 for the same price, but I decided to cancel my order since it would be 3-4 weeks to get it shipped as well. They agreed to ship my bell housing back at their cost. As soon as my CC is re-reimbursed and I have the bell housing back, I'll be set to try again. I'll start researching local TKO dealers in AZ this time. At least this way I can break in my freshly built 408 and maybe pick up a trans somewhere in town.

darn.

i wish the story was: Installed my perfect fit RS500 and couldn't be happier.

i've been lusting over one of these trannys.....that doesn't sound right at all:icon_eyes: . too bad.

i'm enjoying my 727 but will still keep an eye on keisler and the chatter about them over the next year or two. it looks like a good product if it comes out like advertised.

I talked to Keisler on the phone today. They confirmed that the RS trans currently has a fitment issue becuase the rail system contacts the torsion bar support cross member. They are trying to get a lowered rail system in place. I don't know whats involved. Also asked about the new SS700 that is replacing the RS600 that had a supply problem which cause the mess soo many people are pissed about. They said they are hoping to have everything up and running but June or July. We are playing the waiting game til then.

was browsing many forums this morning regarding the SS700. i'd buy it.

i'm not concerned with that long lead-time cause it will take some time to save up cash anyhow.

dang, so much stuff i wanna buy for the Coronet and so little cash.
