15 x 8 cop wheels-74 sat tire size??

got 4 15 x 8 cop wheels thanks to good guy Brent Nipper, moparmagnate1. goin on 73 sat, what is optimum tire size front and back for 60 and 70 series, ????thanks for advice.

245/60r15= 26.6 rolling dia for rear
255/60r15= 27.0 rolling dia for rear if you have the room.
205/70r15= 26.3 rolling dia for front

thats an option you could try

275-60-15 is a 28 inch tall tire and would look good on the rear.

i use a 275/60/15 on the back and a 205 or 215/60/15 on the front

Yea that will work,I thought maybe the wheel was not wide enough.Says you can use 7.5 to9.5 recomended width.So I would agree.

where did you get 15x8 cop wheels? Only made them in 15x7 from the factory.....
Super coupe wheels are the only 15x8 factory mopar wheels until latter.

they are 8 wide, so maybe they came off super coupes, i did find some good used 275 x 60 for them which is awful hard to do. fit well there, are those 205 x 60 too wide for 8 in rim?????
i got them from Brent Nipper, Buffalo. MO. he has more out there i think were also 8 wide. Brent has Mopar only yard, good guy, check it out, [email protected] he does business on this site too, i can't lay my hands on his number right noww. BILL

they are stamped with the pentastar at the valve stem and have an 8 there also along with another number or two. i've had many dozen Mopes sinc e the 60's but i admit i've never had the priviledge of owning a super coupe, i call these cop wheels and 8 wide!! anyho, Brents number is 417-770-5363. he has more. i might trade these for some 7's to go up front plus some boot. ( i have horse trading gene in my DNA) or call Brent for some and good deals on other parts.
out here in the sticks of s w Missouri, its terrible how much old cars have gone to the crusher since scrap has gotten so high, all for the sake of enabling the Chinese to be able to build more air craft carriers to kill us with !!LOL but yea really! thanks for the info BILL

do they have the bumps for the center caps?

OK so I have 3 different wheels here

My '68 Newport with 15x7 cop car wheels (notice 4 raised hubcap bumps)

My '78 Super Coupe wheels 15x8 (background) and a set of Magnum GT wheels 15x7 (foreground)

Now I am curious what you have?

mine has 275 60 15's in rear, and 215 70 15 up front..i am contemplating putting the ralleyes in the garage and picking up 15x8, 15x7 cop wheels for her also

i measured them again and they are 7's. don't ask how i got to thinking they were 8!?? i think i sniffed too much headliner glue one time? BILL

good look with chrome lugs IMO .. go for the SC 8"'s though
