Does anyone have any first hand experience with having exterior trim restored? I'm toying with the idea of having my wheel well trim, drip rail trim and headlight bezels restored, and just looking for a general idea on what I should expect. Also, any recommendation as to a good place to deal with?

Thanks

Do it yourself. Eastwood sells a kit.

We have one at our shop, and it has paid for itself over and over. Not hard, I did all my trim pieces (window molding, drip rails, hood front molding, and trunk molding) in a few hours.

if you don't want to go that route, check your local chrome shop. they usually do polishing also.

I checked with my local chrome shop and they do provide the service. Only problem was the price was in orbit...

I recently did mine on the roadrunner...Very time consuming, but I guess that all depends on the condition to start with. Not that hard to do, but if it's half painted/sanded, scratched up, dinged/dented and bent up like mine, you're gonna be spending a lot of time bringing it back. When it's all said and done, you can have it looking like chrome.
