to compensate for a heavy passenger :rolling::rolling::rolling: sorry for the humor couldn`t help it :headbang:

Sound like SS springs. Extra leaf added to one side for torque twist.

So it supposed to sit with one corner higher?? I called Summit and they said it should be 6 leafs per but will check in the warehouse on Monday to see what the others are like.

So how do you level the car off ? I was adjusting the torsion bars for ride height when I discovered it...My Camaro sits even in the back... slight rake

:laughing7: fat chicks need loving too !

My S/S springs have more leafs on one side.... It does set a little crooked, but that's by design for traction on hard launchs. I adjusted the torsion bars to level the front end a bit. I actualy just loosened them up evenly some today after a little engine work and a new set of electric fans installed.

This is good to know so I dont kill myself trying to get it level
:banghead:

Hmmm,

get your front end realigned after u put the leaf springs on and level your car, raising the torsion bars changes the settings. i dont reccomend it for the street since handling may not be up to ur standards but the drag strip is fine for this type of setting

I had just replaced the torsion bars and was raising it back off the bump stops. How high should it be/go?... I replaced the complete steering rack as well so I am going to get it aligned but was wanting to set the ride height first. What should be the measurement from frame to ground? or what/how where is the spec to set ride height?

Steering rack ? Do you have an aftermarket setup ? Anyway...Be sure you have your correct wheels/tires on & set air pressure, jounce the car. Measure the distance from the lowest part of the lower ball joint/arm to the floor. Measure the distance from the lowest part of the height adjuster pivot (not the bolt) to the floor. The "difference" is the ride height. Should be 1 7/8".

Sorry not the rack ...LOL all the linkage and arms... shocks torsion bars.. car is all new underneath...
and in the limited 20 ft of driving in my driveway handling pretty good now
