Guys coming to buy the car (hopefully) this weekend and of course the ignition switch goes today. How do you get the cylinder into the new switch, I did it once and the key was stuck? Thanks in advance.
I did this about 2 months ago on a 69. If I remember correctly, there was a small tab/button that had to be depressed as the cylinder was slid into the switch. Pretty sure it had to lined up and would only go in in one position.
Hope I'm in time---use a paper clip in the small hole,go to accessory position, push in paper clip and rotate CCW and old cyl. should come out. New one just pushes in and rotate CW and should be as good as new.
