i been pretty much out of the Mopar scene the last 10 yrs, i've had many since the mid 80's but lately been nowhere. wondering for a street driven car, no car show stuff, no racer stuff, just cruiser, whats the opinion of spending the $ for new oem radiator, or gettin correct aluminum. my 73 satty has darn cross flow aluminum, want to sell it for sure, no trans cooler its hooked to cooler straped on up front. don't want ot buy used, spend 44 to check it, only to find cores are rotted after 40 yrs!. back last time i went ot big Mopar deal, seems all i remember seeing was oem. thanks for any input.

If you go aftermarket, I've heard Be Cool rads sometimes overheat. I've heard great things about Griffin. I just can't support putting chinese made items in Detroit muscle unless there are no american made rads out there - unless you're so poor that it's your only car and you can't afford anything else - in which case you probably need to rethink this car hobby thing altogether because it's a money pit!

I was told by my local radiator shop that the OEM stuff is much more reliable and better cooling than most of the aftermarket items. He also reminded me that more rows does not equal better cooling. Something about if the hot fluid exits the rad too fast, it doesn't have time for the fan driven air to cool it as it recirculates.

If you have to go chinese made, I've heard several on here sing praises for Champion.
