Car looks familiar, I think it was for sale on this site a while back. #'s should be on the top yoke of the radiator support and I think somewhere behind the rear bumper, maybe the panel behind the bumper brackets.
Welcome to the site from the Motor City!

thanx

yes i searched your for section and found it .. Its a real hemi/auto ps pb pw factory rear spoiler guy lived in the sticks lots of inquiries not 1 person went to look at it bought right .

almost forgot

Also dealer installed A / C hemi with air quite a story to this car . thanxx again

Welcome to the site! Sounds interesting, i cant speak for others, but any chance you may want to share the story?

happy to

ok heres the story as told to me , The charger u c was actually the tow car for another Hemi car ( hemi towing a hemi ) the guy who owed this back in the day drove this as daily driver also had dealer install a/c . wanted to do some illegal street racing back in the day so he went into raceway crysler they had 68 hemi runner 4sp he didnt like the color as it was maroon in color and was ready to walk away , dealer said what if we paint it deal was struck if they painted orange,, he owed the runner . But the runner was never titled for street use and to this day still never titled ... So he had hitch put on car( still on car ) tow bar and hooks still on runner .. and off they went doing the illegal street race thing The runner was known as the ground pounder and apparently was 1 of the cars to beat back in the day it was sponsored by local fast food joint . some where along the line the charger lost its hemi and replaced with 383 hp 69 motor and last licenced for the road in 74 (plates and sticker still on car )..so thats where my charger story stalls. as for the runner well up untill last tuesday its the 1st the 2 cars have been separated since 68 sad day but great for me...Im tryin to find out more history on the runners life after the charger was parked ..the owner i got my car from ended up with both the hemi cars about 7 years ago , original owner ( as per rumor ) ended up in mental hospital never to be heard or seen again some kind of estate sale happened and lost everything in life very sad .. as my charger now sat along time frame very nice drivers floor shot all the hard hemi stuff still there cept engine ( still have original trans ) p/b booster bracket k frame solinoid bracket and still has factory rear spoiler ... my girls lookin at it and wondering what i see in this old car...think shes checkin into having me committed lol well theres my story will uptate when i find out more about the runner and hope to get pics of it as well.. thanx for your site ive got alot to learn this looks lime the place to do it although peps at moparts been mighty helpfull as well thanx to all for letting me pic your brains take care... hemikev

I sure do appreciate the story.. If all this is being told correctly it has quite a story, now its up to you with the next part in its tale of survival of the fittest. Im sure you'll find as many questions answered here as you have to ask, There is a lot of great folks here at the site and the mods are the best bar none, Don't misunderstand, they wont put up with wrong doing but there a fellow enthusiasts there-selves and get involved with a lot of whats being talked about. If you haven't as yet gave a intro in the Welcome section, you may want to.. I wish you luck on the next adventure of your car!

BTW, a quick ?? IF you have maybe any pics of that 68 hemi runner 4sp, or a link maybe, I imagine im not alone with wanting to take a peek at it. I tried a Google search thinking maybe something would come up using Ground Pounder, Nutin.. :)

I have a 1966 Charger, 383- 4 speed that I have owned for 43 years. redoning it now. very interested in the histroy of your car like to hear more.

With deep moral an regret we are saddened to make this post.
Hemikev has pasted away,.
We are happy thow that we were able to sell kev the 66 hemi[made his dream of being a hemi owner come true at an affordable price]charger which was lost for a time after the sale .
Presumption was the car had been cut up /parted out which saddened us as much as our lost mopar brother.

However with all bad an not so good news comes positive news,as it turn's out the the 66 hemi charger has made its way to Finland.
That is all we Know at present.
Anyone else have any follow up?
Please Post...
As well Ed Has also disappeared, anyone know where Ed Is??????
