2nd Rotisserie!

Holy s|#t! Your building the Viper Bee!?!?

Do you own MRS or just work there? If I mae ask...

Been watching that build, like the Slam Charger.

It seems that when I get an great idea, I'll see that you guys have done it already.

No, I don't work there, but, I'm there often, I do all their media blasting when they take in new cars that need it done. Steve drives his Slam Charger all over town like every day, it's very drivable and the slamming was done correctly to not mess up the suspension/steering geometry. No, I'm not building the Viper Bee, I just media blasted it like 2 yrs ago, you should see that car now, it is sick!

Ok. My bad, I was looking at your webside and I assumed.

I did realized that you have a blasting business.

I would LOVE to see it live. It just so loong way to came and take a look..

That slaming ( to us it's channelling) is something what I've planing to my Bee. Sence I'm chancing the floor and trunk there aint much that would hold me back. And I have a frame table where do that tricky operation.

They (MRS) do some really fine muscle cars there...

Mutant Bee is my favorite. Thats why I had to have a '70 Bee.

Thanks,

They do great work over there! There is a video on youtube of me blasting my Satellite qtr panel, the pressure was way too high (because I had a broken regulator and didn't know it then) but it's a cool video, just look up Plastic Media Blasting in action on youtube, that's me taken way back in 08. There's other videos up there too from 08, and 09, nothing newer -- but, that will change! I would love to secure a high-speed camera filming me at like 100fps, this way you could see each plastic particle come out, impact the surface, and remove the offending paint and rust, this would be SO cool! But, finding a camera and set up is difficult. If you know of any equipment, let me know.

Got the rotator assembly figured out! Found some used hub bearings off a Ram truck at local Dodge dealer scrap metal bin, took about 2 hrs of 'figuring' and 'sorting', and mocking it up and will have some pics in the next couple of days of the solution!

For the other end, I'm going to incorporate the brake rotor, and, needed to rethink how to do that! Got a machinist friend of mine to build me a spacer to go on the back of the bearing/hub, this will be about 1.25 inch thick, on this will I weld the attaching vertical rising. Won't be done for a few days.

For 100 bucks (I think too much) this spacer he made for me should have been sanded down, dressed up vs. the raw and sharp edges he left on it! When I was in machine shop, we had to clean out stuff up before presenting to the instructor for a grade. No worries, I cleaned it up at my shop. Getting big enough bolts to tie this spacer to the hub has been a PITA! And, the threads on the hub are metric, and Fastenal is limited on the stuff they carry! But, the assembly is cogent, and, will be way cool when done! Brake rotor on a hub, mounted and welded to a vertical riser, this is by far my best creation thus far, can't wait to post some pics soon!

It's basically done now. Need to make the adjustable risers and it's all set! I'm going to paint it too, its in self etch green stuff right now, gotta put some epoxy primer on it, then paint it, perhaps Furious Fuchsia in color! :glasses10::glasses10:

Figgin' cool Donny!!

Here it is, nearly done, well, done enough to be utilized! This thing spins WAY too easily, so, balancing the car is critical, much more so that my other pipe rotating rotisserie. But, this one is SO much lighter and smaller too! http://youtu.be/23azvCX8A_s

I see you got your grill made. Nice work!

Isnt nice to have bearings in it? So easy to use...

Enjoy..
