1970 Superbird clone $82000.00

Wrinkliest seat covering ever! Dunno about the yellow dash and lightning rods. But the exterior looks pretty good. Big meaty tires for sure.

Looks good, but do you guys think it's really worth that price?

Not saying the guy doesn't know what he's doing and I have no knowledge of restorations but the undercarriage picture looks like a sloppy job, no? If I saw that I would think there was rust under it for sure

And as mentioned before the seats looked like they were covered in a hurry.

Not saying I don't like it but if I was paying 80 grand for a car I would want everything to be mint

Can't you get a real one for not much more?

Not sure how I feel about the painted bumper on this one.

Dude is in a pipe (or smoked one) I see 4 big no, no's in that pic. E-brake cable cut!? brake line with a union!? how cheap is that! and to boot it has a generic clamp screwed to frame! and the great exhaust work!! plus looks like he painted right over the factory undercoating (wonder how much rust it's hiding) plus look at the nose there is no headlight buckets he has lights mounted outside the nosecone! This is a thrown together flip that he is HOPING to get mega bucks for, not gonna happen!

I hadn't even noticed the lack of headlight doors. The more I look at the panel alignment, painted bumper and other stuff, the less I like it. And the backlight is lexan, not glass. Figure what a nice road runner is worth, then subtract the cost of putting this car back to stock, and you'll have it's value.

Yeah, not the proper headlights, painted rear bumper, wheel tubs in the rear, and paint over the under coating makes me think this is a sloppy job.

yeah...for that money id want it alot better too....for the record ...i wasnt serious when i said he did a good job !! not diggin the yellow dash or the missing radio plate screws or the radio. the seats look like the homeless recovered them at a stoplight for 5 buxx.....(sorry,,,was that political? ). anyway....a few things id have to change and the price being one of them!

It is what it is, I don't dislike it. It's a highly modified "pro street" race car but he is asking way to much for it. Unfortunately he is probably just trying to cover his cost + a little more but not much.

man what a joke. it looks like the seat covers were done by a 10 year old. the painted wheels dont match the body paint. look at hack job on the exhaust!!! whats with the upside down RR decal on the diff cover? they must have forgotton which way the cover goes on. this car is a total hack job for the 82,000 dollar price tag ...just goes to show how desperate people are to make a buck off the pentastar.

Did anyone else happen to catch that this does not have a 426 Hemi in it? It is a 5.7 Hemi running with non functional distributor, wires, and valve covers designed to make it look like a 426.

Not too good for that money

It looks good at 1st glance... Too many things incorrect to even call it a clone, but If your looking for a pro-street completely fake version of a 70 Superbird, that you could probably drive &/or race, then not worry about it being a high dollar real Superbird or quality clone, then maybe, but for only less than 1/2 of that money to me....

Mannnnn....What I don't get is you spend the extra time, money and research to build a Superbird clone with a little bit of a prostreet touch and you go and get half-*** with the quality of the work and parts? Go find a lemans to turn into a half-*** GTO, not an air grabber '70 roadrunner into a high school auto class gone bad project!

That guy's in orbit if he thinks he's gonna score 82K for that.

Now that you mention is, that RPM airgap intake does look like the one made for the 5.7 hemi. They don't even make that model for the old big blocks.

Yep, sure is. The first thing I noticed was the MSD Hemi 6 controller. I knew those were for the new Hemi engines so I read through his description. He states that it is in fact a 5.7 Hemi with all the dress up parts to look old. Seems like a waste of money to me.

with cheap KYB gas adjusts.... I like gas adjusts fine but they aren't really that great.

Well guys I'm the builder of this car. !!! This car was built to be a driver and was sold for $35 with the new 26 ft enclosed trailer as far as it being painted over top of undercoat your crazy ... it was yellow rinoliner ... WISH I NEVER SOLD IT.
