Hey guys,
Just bought my 3rd Mopar and found this site.
Always loved Mopars cause they have character and aren't "dime'a dozen".
My first was a '71 Duster with a done 340 in it and big bias plys. tough to drive but man that thing was a rocket. Sold it for $2,500 after the guy I bought it from failed to tell me it had solid lifters that needed to be adjusted. Eventually i dropped a valve and that was the end of that. Yes I should have kept and restored it. That was about 25 years ago.
Second was a '74 Challenger 4spd with a built 440 6 pak. That car hauled too as you can imagine (or know) but it needed some major bucks to restore and the rust was getting away from me. Sold it for $7,500 about 8 years ago
Now I just bought a '71 GTX of Ebay with the fresh air hood and the whole bit. I had it trucked from Ohio to my cousins friends speed shop in Washington state where he's still sorting it out. Solid straight car, some minor issues, and the interior could use redoing.
Its not the original color and the bumpers have been painted to sort of match. Im on the fence whether I'm going to restore to original or paint it my favorite color one day. I'm turned on my those elastomeric/eyebrow front bumpers too althought I know they are extremely rare.
