Ive got a 69 GTX Im jsut fininshing up.. all works well except when it gets warm, it floods out.. Im assuming its boiling over in the carb.. any suggestions out there??
First off make sure your fuel line is near nothing hot such as exhaust, exhaust manifold, etc.Replace your valley pan with one that has the heat cross over block off,FelPro has this valley pan.Make sure you have a factory style gasket between the carb and intake manifold it should be 1/4-3/8 inch thick. If you do all these steps this should take care of your boiling over issues.
My Father just ran into this issue a few weeks ago on his Hemi.I found his fuel line was on top of the valve cover.I don't think this would be a issue on a 383 or 440 but the Hemi valve cover was much hotter than a 383-440.I moved his fuel line away from the valve cover a half inch and this took care of the boilingover issue on the Hemi.

Yeah, all that plus more. The so called gas these days is the real issue. It must have a higher vapor pressure. Back in the 80's I used to run with the heat cross over open on an aluminum intake and never had an issue.
