B Body stiffening

This is truly an impressive car, product, and creative art! This was the thread that got me to join, and throw my hat into one of the few BBS's I frequent...this is worth my time coming here! Thanks!!!

Darius, haven't heard from ya in awhile, how goes the build?

Been busy paying attention to my business so I have $$$ to complete the project. Times are tough in the remodeling industry just like everywhere else I suppose.
Hopefully I can get over to the shop next week for a while.
I am also sidetracked with getting my Mom moved from Nevada over to Sacramento so that will infringe on my time as well.
I pretty much have all the major components I need to get this thing built it is just a matter of time and $$ to pay for labor on stuff i cannot do myself , like weld a stainless exhaust up and figure out the wiring/programming for the computer...things like that. I am anxious to get it done but am practicing the art of patience at the moment,an this is probably the MOST patient I have been in my life. (Insert a smiley chomping at the bit here).

Glad to hear from ya. All good things come to those that wait------patience my *** I wanna kill something, so I'm guessing your the patient type!lol. Are ya coming to the Madera show?

As things turn out, I will be moving my Mom over that weekend....and it is my birthday on the 9th too!!!
Happy ******* birthday to me!

Here is a pic of 2007 Charger REAR disc brake installed on an unmodified 8 3/4 axle housing

You can see how we turned down the caliper mount from the Charger to fit over the flange on the axle housing.
Can someone turn OFF the world for a while so I can finish this project....PLEASE!!!
Wait til you see how the exhaust looks OMG!!!! It is so clean. Hopefully I can get some pics of it by next week. Dean has to weld the stainless steel, I am not even going to try that.

"Unmodified rear 8 3/4 rear axle"? Are you kidding? I like that mod; the control arms, the coil overs...more pics, need ideas!!! Please??

What do the brakes up front to do the track width?

I'm not so sure they do anything to it ,although, I have not measured anything or even driven it yet so I cannot say. You may want to post this question over on www.bigblockdart.com. That is the site of the guy who designed the Alterktion front suspension and there are lots of guys there who have this system with many different brake systems installed on it.

Yeah I know those guys, Bill too. I have an Alterktion.

But I think the only one who can answer the my question is you, since you modified hubs to make your work. I'm curious what the difference is with the Mopar brakes.

I simply bought Baer hubs to fit the MustangII spindles that came with the Alterktion. The only mod we made to those hubs was to turn out the centers to allow for a slightly thicker "spacer" ring....the diameter of the spindle was slightly smaller than the inside dia of the hub. we made it thicker because the difference was so small that it would have been difficult to make something that thin that wasn't going to have/create problems down the road. As is turned out, this spacer compression fits to the hub so if/when I have to change rotors, the shim will stay with the hub.

Darius, how goes the build?

Been working. I hadto lay off all but 2 men and my partner and I have been in the field for about a month now. Things look better for next year however. Hopefully I can get a little done during the holiday season but I ain't holdin my breath.
Just going to take me longer than I want....imagine THAT!

Good luck on the economic front Darius, I know how it goes, hang in there, I've been super slow since late July, but, since late Oct I've been super busy, and will be thru this month.

I hear ya, hope all goes well for ya.

Darius, how is it going? Have ya got anything done to your car?
