Keisler mistake

I think this thread has run it's course and now it's just beat up on gene time. Enuff's enuff. Gezzz.

I agree.
Gene & Keisler have obviously helped other members with any problems, myself included.
Sounds like wirenut knew what he was buying, got it anyway haggling it to the lowest possible price he could, then complained that it wasn't a complete kit even though that's what was stated in the package.

I'm building a modified car, also. Around every twist & turn there is something else that pops up. This doesn't fit, that needs more modifications, this part won't work with that now, etc etc, on & on. Those are the challenges faced when using 100% non-stock parts. As much as you plan ahead, there are always pitfalls along the way.

I honestly believe Gene tried his best to accommodate. Leave 'em alone already, move on.

Thanks for the back up on this.

I can not let this forum become a personal hammer or one that just becomes a vindictive outlet. It's just not gonna happen. Posting here is for help and/or venting about something. The thread is a good one and flows back and forth well.

I have to admit that building cars for the last 20+ years (Hobby bassis) has shown me that some thing are a royal pain to do and some are not. Then on the next car, it's the reverse. That damn easy thing is now being cranky to me and that other part, well, it didn't really get easier, I just now know the ropes a bit better and it went smoother.

For the life of me, seriously, I can not understand the lack of a decent and inexpensive small block header for a Mopar. Those 3 tubes under the front end steer parts is most most stupid and a major hassle.

I've never been able to get a car and/or the engine raised up enough to make the drivers header install easy. NEVER!

True. There has been good AND bad in this thread. No way to say who is and who isn't. IF I had had personal dealings with Keisler....good OR bad....I would have probably said so. But I haven't. so there:edgy:

HOWEVER, there has been some good to come from this thread. Cause without it I wouldn't, and I'm sure others wouldn't have learned about the McLeod 5 speed. And I for one would like to know more about it:grin:

(not that I'm planning on buying one in the next 5 minutes, cause I'm not)

Uhmmmmmm I'm totally done with this thread.

Did you guys see the Great rack thread, lots more entertainment there that this.

I am with Tem, does anyone know anything about this trans? Who is actually building it? etc.

I jumped in on this with the McLeod. Another thread along the lines of this one is/was going on over at FABO and it seemed to me it just turned into another let's b**** thread instead of getting down to brass tacks of trying to help someone set things to right. Except over on FABO it became a Passon vs Keisler thread that turned out to have someone come in and start calling everyone names who didn't like Passon, people badmouthing Brewers, and a lot of people badmouthing everyone in general, including each other.

To make a long story short (too late!) it got my eye, just as this one did, when the McLeod tranny came up. Unveiled at SEMA, with the release date being March of this year for the GM version and the Mopar and Ford versions to follow. I guess the price is supposed to be right around $2300. Here's another link:
