I have a 1979 Chrysler Cordoba with the 318 & 904, put a console shift out of a 1974 dart sport on the floor thus removing my column shifting linkage then bought a pair of heddmen headers that went on well. While putting the front suspension back together the bar that the pitman arm and tie rod ends fit into would not fit however, I was able to turn it around and put it on. I have yet to drive it this way but was hoping that somebody here has had the same experience and was hoping for some input as to whether this would hold up or do I have to beat my headers in and swing the bar back around the correct way?

Thanks and appreciate all the help I can receive, Dan

You mean you reversed the center link??

Yes, the center link at this time is in the car backward. when in the correct way it tilts toward the front of the car and will not allow me to attach it to the pitman arm as the header is in the way. When switched around it tilts toward the back of the car allowing me to attach to the pitman arm and the steering does work with very minute rubbing to the header but I do not know if it will be safe to drive this way and I guess if there is another solution to getting the car together correctly I would greatly appreciate this.

Thanks, Dan
