Max wedge or Hemi ?

Gary,

It's even harder to get the passengers side valve cover off to adjust the roller rockers.

Max Wedge car.....It's too easy to change plugs on hemi cars...

The plugs maybe, but to take off the valve cover on the pass side for a valve adjustment, not so easy :(

I have to drop the entire engine to clear the boss on the fire wall on the pass side, no fun!

Sheeeeeeesh I have to choose ??? Guess Im a Wedge head !

I'd take the wedge. That way I could call my garage the maxi-pad.

Im having trouble picking myself.. i have 413 wedge for 500 or a 440 for 1000 ... both stock and basically running order..

for a 65 dart

For drool appeal, it would have to be the Hemi...seeing those huge valve covers is impressive!

If you wanna go fast and have the bucks to build a hemi, go hemi. And if you don't go wedge.

With todays after market stuff you can go just as fast with either motor, but the wedge will cost less...

I will take either one that you wannta give me !

I like both.

It's like asking a man to choose between a gorgeous blonde and a gorgeous brunette.

I'd take both if I could find the right body...:icon_profileright:

Before Chrysler unleashed the 426 Hemi , the Max Wedge was the BEAST that RULED  early race history! These cars were factory built race cars that were sold to people , "Ready to Race".

Sonny takes the Max Wedge.....almost a tie...BUT!!!...Maxie wins

I like them both. I have one wedge 440 in my 64 but I have a 392 hemi in my 40 brand X.

For a street rod I prefer an early hemi... but for an early "B" body like my '64 Polara in the background.... gotta be a Wedge.

Having both makes for a tuff decision, but with both being 4-speed, the Max Wedge you can drive any where. The Race Hemi on the street is almost too much. But I never get tired of taking them out for a drive. DSC01322.jpgIMG_2396.jpg
