Butterscotch Mopars

I for one love mopars. I love restored numbers matching hemi-cars, I love rotting rust bucket /6 satellites. Kudos to Daniel Depetro for taking on this project. Whether it is or is not labeled as a "re-body" Im just glad to see someone taking on this awesome b-body and putting it back on the road. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, this is just mine. Good luck with your project, Daniel.

Have a good evening everyone,
Jason

Now, back to our regularly scheduled thread. So ... any other Butterscotch cars out there for me to check out?

Build it, drive it for the world to see, and have fun, while the purist sit in their recliner with their treasures locked away for no fun or contribution to promoting the memories and automotive lifestyle.

I'm just mad everyone has an A12 car except me. Please continue.

I beleive my 71 RR started life as a butterscotch car. That's the color that is under the jack sticker. It was painted over red at one time. when I got it it was in primer. I had it painted blue.
Now if I could just find that fender tag, I could tell for sure.

I have a fender tag from a four door you can have.

No broadcast sheet?

Nope, That was gone also.
I beleive I have the fender tag somewhere in my garage.
maybe I put it in the glove box, I don't remember.
Poor car has been parked for to many years.

My A12 Bee is suppose to be butterscotch...

I had an A12 Superbee that was Butterscotch too. It was a 4 speed car. When I had it the car was painted Sublime, but it was coded for Butterscotch. When the guy who bought it from me stripped the paint off it,it was confirmed to be an original Butterscotch car.

I am starting to believe (whomever posted it) that there were a lot of Butterscotch A12 cars - which is really interesting to me. I just did not think that it would be a very popular color (compared to other color options available) but then again, I don't think many were ordered (correct me if I am wrong) but were built/painted that way and sent down the pipe to be sold. Someone on that design team/platform must have really liked it.

The color made it's debut on the A12 cars. The two magazine test cars that were both red, were repainted butterscotch the promote the color. I'm not sure on the accuracy of this number, but I was told mine was one of six hardtop A12 Superbees painted this color. I was told that there were 33 post A12 Superbees painted this color. Thats not a lot of cars.

Then I must have seen nearly all 39 here.

There are absolutely no difinitive numbers for any 69 A12 cars color option. There is a list of known cars that's been compiled by Dave Watt, but that is only telling part of the story.
I've also never heard of a second Pilot car going from red to butterscotch. We do know of one for sure.

Here is Dave most up to date list.

UPDATED LIST*
These are the cars that I have the VIN, color and transmission type. There are a lot more on my list but missing at least one of these items to keep me from posting their results. If anyone has any A12's that you could share the information with me, send me a PM and I'll update the list.
There are still some B7 blue cars out there that you guys have information on that could be added too.
