late model hemi into early b bodies

The engine/trans is from an 03' Ram. Not sure what the true horse power will be since I made adapters so I could use the truck timing cover with a car intake. Should have quite a bit more torque than any stock motor as there is more volume and the intake runners are now 1.5 inches longer. If I feel at some point down the road I may put the SRT8 came I have in it, but stock will do for now.

Oh, damn near forgot, got my fender back today...looks sweet.

The SRT8 cam is an improvement that you will definitely need a Diablo tune to get the most out of. Be sure and reeplace all of the valvesprings as the 03's had breakage issues and that leads to pistons getting crunched. Using stock oem SRT8 springs works great and is very affordable.

What is the short of the wiring issues? Does anyone make a "stand alone" unit for the computer?

Not sure I understand your question.

Here are some pics of what I have been doing for awhile. The fender was sent to the guy that did my dads 70 Challenger RT, so I had him fix what I did not have the talent to do. The headlight bezels came out real nice, the C rings were done buy a guy in town 2 years ago--came out great, the dash piece polished up great (ebay item), and the fiberglass bumper is primed and ready for more work. Hope you all enjoy.

Front rear splash shields done (need to get new seals for them), painted the hood hingesbc/cc (testing the water so to speak), front bumper brackets done, and the hood and scoop are ready for paint.

Hey 5.7, this thread, and your build is very inspirational to me, and, has given and is still giving me ideas on the when/if late model HEMI into either the Satellite and/or GTX. I gotta ask though, are you building up the car verifying it all screws together correctly and the way you want it, then, plan to tear it down and send the body to get Media Blasted; inside, outside, underneath; everywhere?

I'm at that stage where it is almost ready to be blown apart for body/paint. I just need to do a few more mods, then start working the body. It is a factory undercoat car so there is zero issues there, the factory paint is great for a foundation, so I will start sanding then primer so and so on. Thanks for the compliment.

On a lighter note, I scored 2 consoles at Spring Fling, so now I have 3, and will start seeing which one I want to use. I could not believe it!!!!!

The helper, gotta teach 'em while they are young.

JoeMopar, this is the only pic I have that even comes close to what you want. See the bolt on the bottom of the console, that is the middle location. I'll try to get some pics for ya, it may take awhile, but I'll get them.

looks like a ron francis wiring kit ??? how do you like it???

as for RWH there was A 5.7 challenger at carlisle in 09 a 2009 5.7 variable cam timing is the big difference over the 2003 5.7 only mod he had was a truck in take 330 at the wheels it was on the dyno at carlisle

I like so far, but hell, I've done just enough to get it started, so we will see how the rest of it goes.

I'll be happy (for now) with the power, just cant wait to punish the rear tires.

Here are some pics of the consoles that I got at Spring Fling. Enjoy!!!
