i know certin older MOPARS had RED on the face of the drums and clear metal on the rim of the drum was this the same for 73 ?

thanks RANDY

I don't think any were painted unless the car was originally equipped with road wheels (magnum 500s). I would lay odds that by the time the drums were put on at the factory, unpainted ones were flash rusted. I'd maybe shoot them with some "cast iron" paint on top of some high heat.

When I was selling them new, they all came in with rusted rear brake drums. Non that I seen were ever painted.

The drums that were painted red were (basically) only done on the face. There was a (what do you want to call it) masking template that covered the lug area (making a nice lil round cornered Pentastar shape) and kept paint off the area where the wheel would contact the drum. The sides really only had overspray on them.

I think they brush painted the drums just the face if that
