When i looked up the numbers years ago in the Holley book it said 70 383 HP 4 speed but that was in the last century and the memory like my hair is almost gone.

The Holley is correct for the 383 four barrel engines. I believe the Carter was used on the 440, though.

Yes and I believe they stayed with the Holley for 1971 as well.

Got the car backed into the garage so i can work on getting the engine out. Its up on stands too, I hit the brakes and the petal whent right to the floor. So im looking for that problem. Im going to just replace all the brake components.

good plan , i'll bet the master cyclinder the wheel cyclinders, and brake lines are the worst of it .

I pulled the brakes off the RR today, everything looked good, for a 40 year old car. Im still going to replace the wheel cyl. hoses and master cyl. just to be on the safe side, I also pulled the front bumper so you can see the damage. Still cant believe thay totaled this for that.

good find !! i spy a nice set of slots in the corner by the looks of it

The slots are for my sons 70 Swinger. Its a bitch to put big tires on the rear of a dart. 15x8 with 275 60 15s:yes: I didnt do anything to the RR this weekend. My son went to State with the school drama team didnt make it to finals:sad: and to make things worse on the way back home i had a run in with a deer tore the whole right front corner and door off my PT Cruizer. And i just wrought the last check on Wed. to pay it off:mad: so now i have one more project. atleast no one was hurt! well the deer didnt make it:rolling:

ARK;I saw that first shot of the garage and thought:"You know,he could apply for federal disaster relief funds and get some government money." Since it's our own money bailing you out,we'd all be partial owners of the RR,right? Oh,wait, that would mean we'd have to come clean the garage as well:no:...OK,who's the FEMA rep here?:edgy:

After all those years,I hope Mickey and Minnie and the lil' mouseketeers haven't started a condo community in the car. With the relief funds, would that make it subsidized housing?

Good luck with the car;remember,WE LIKE PICS!

Isn't this fun watching somebody else work on their car:sixpack: Your off to a good start A.R.K !!!

Thanks AL k thats a good idea, but it would be a bitch trying to figure out who would drive it, and for how long:rolling: but one thing you said was true, micky did move in, but not for long, only damage i found was in the headliner:sad: I didnt like that one anyway:no: should have used Acme Mouse Killer:rolling:
