Now I transfered my car from a 727 to a A833, what carb should I use: AVS or AFB?

Engine is a 383cui with Edelbrock Performer intake.

AVS is more tunable than an AFB. Basically the same carb EXCEPT AVS has 3 step metering rods where AFB has two, and AVS has a spring loaded "Air Valve" ( as in Air Valve Secondary) which is easily adjustable. The only way to acomplish the same thing on an AFB is to open the carb and add/remove weight to the counterweights on the secondary's air valve

Between the two carbs, would a new Edelbrock Thunder Series carb be suiteable?

If not, I would use a AVS and change out the 3 step rod cover for a flat AFB rod cover and use AFB rods.

Holley...LOL

Allways a clown in the crowd...LOL!
