I had been trying to buy this truck from the original owner for past 15 years and just recently stopped by and he said take it (for a small fee:yes:) Its a '76 Club Cab D100 factory 318, AT, AC, disc brake truck in really good shape for age and despite sitting for past couple years. Went and paid him today and found out that it has a 360 (4bbl engine w/intake) that was rebuilt and only has about 13,*** miles on it since rebuild. Looks faded red in pic but was a factory orangish color which just for beater purposes should buff out good enough to be presentable. I just happen to have an extra set of cragars laying around to make it look better also.

good buy. you can't beat those older truck. they have class and durability.

No disrespect to older trucks but I would have loved a new F-350 with a 6-speed, but Ford dropped it! People are wusses these days.

Well went today and picked up my truck. Wow was it a hot one...used a come along and along came the sweat. Ran the old boy by the car wash and sprayed off the green moss and paint is pretty nice...is a shade of pumpkin orange (anyone know 76 truck paint codes?). Paint is flat but looks thick enough to buff some to make presentable. Will patch lower rust and fix some dents and respray lower section white. Put the wagons cragars on it today too. Looks pretty damn nice if you ask me for a beater. Next step is to drain tank and oil and check everything out and try to fire up.

This shot is in the rain so you can get a good look at what the paint should look like.

looks like the bath you gave it made it look pretty good, and the cragars helped also.

Get it running and get out there parts hunting! Look at the size of that empty bed;just waiting for motors and rear axles and complete firewalls and other necessary items.

I'm so jealeous. I shouldn't complain though. I had a 76 GMC given to me for a couple hours of wiring work. Put in a 350 Chevy motor I had laying around (out of the ex's car :rolling:) and have been driving it for about six or seven years now. Love them beater trucks.....
