my final question is this.
why the hell does a nonfamily member such as HEMIFRED deserve the right to hold on to this car for the Christner family.This car should be in a nuetral facility out of Hemifred's reach.back in Ohio where it rightfully belongs.
I see no good coming out of this situation.

IT'S NONE OF YOURS OR ANYONE’S BUSINESS

I'll repeat this one last time for those who have not previously and maybe you can have an adult explain it to you in simpler terms.

When Kevin died the car was here at his choice for me to do work .Immediately after I got he news about Kevin's passing I contacted his family and all others possibly involved in the car's future and informed them that the car was left with me. It would be here until the estate was settled. Then it would be transferred to whomever it was intended to by Kevin. The entire family is well aware the car is stored with me. It will be here free of charge for as long as it takes for the estate to be settled. ( As of October the car will be have been here for two years.) Then it will be offered for sale by them not me. I have nothing to do with the car other than that. As a friend of Kevin's I owe him no less than to do whatever I can to help his family. .
I have consulted lawyers and the local police for advice and here's where it stands.
I am in a legal quandary here .I cannot give this car to anyone period with risking legal action from the estate heirs. If it leaves my possession without my having a court order stating who is the rightful owner then I am open for possible criminal charges. If the car were given to the wrong relative it is no different than my participating in disposing of it for my own gain. I am also open to liability charges should anything happen to it while in my care thereby forcing me to insure it
There’s never been any secret as to who has the car. If it were being stolen as you have claimed then I think the police would have been here long ago to arrest me.
The sooner it leaves the better for me but I have no control over that unless it is placed into storage with a third party. Then there’s a very good chance the storage charges or lack of someone claiming the car in a reasonable time that the family lose possession or payout big money to obtain it. I have said my peace and there will be no further response from me regardless of what other crap you try to toss at me. I stand on both my reputation and character as know by those who really matter. .
