so is there any good or easy way to remove those? should i pull it all together or unbolt them and pull them one at a time?

im striping down my 78 cordoba and we can asume that everything in the engine bay is gone.

Drop from the bottom or pull out through the top? I have pulled many engines and trannys out from the top without problems. Just double check that everything is disconnected!

Asuming you don't have a bridge?

Think it's easier (read: lighter) to remove the engine and tranny separately if it concerns an automatic tranny.

what is a bridge? if it is posible i would like to drop it from the botom whit the front removed then back the car up?
doing so leaving the engine on the ground and then putting it on a pallet.

A bridge is something to drive over to get to the other side.

Ive put them in that way, keep in mind you have to pull the upper control arms loose trans mount exhaust speedo cable shifter or linkage all the connections under the hood and be able to support the engine and trans and lift the car. I used my cherry picker, the front of my rotisserie

Na, there was no weight, no interior, glass. if its a complete car I would use a lift or pull it out the top. Hey when did I become a senior member, do I get discounts? and how did they find out I'm a little older

since im bringing down the car to nothing i could do this.

so the engine and trany can come straigth down.

Honestly the fastest way is to get an engine hoist, and pull it out from the top. All you have to is remove the hood.

1). Unbolt the drive shaft u-joints and take the driveshaft out of the tranny.
2). unplug everything on the engine that connects to the firewall or other parts of the car.
3). Undo the engine mount bolts.
4). Remove the headers (easier to get out, then you can just pull the headers out after the engine is out)
5). Remove the radiator for easier clearance
6). Bolt the chain connected to the engine hoist in two spots

7). Begin to jack up the engine hoist slowly raising the engine
8). Now it's all about angles, keep jacking up the engine, and moving it to clear the tranny tailshaft (tranny tunnel) and the fan (radiator)

I pulled my engine in less than two hours by myself most of the part until when it came to jacking up the engine (easier with a partner).

Engine hoist - $200

Don't buy the leveler, seemed to be more of a hassal then a help. I ended up just heading over to lowes and buying me a 6ft length of chain. you don't want the chain too long or you won't be able to jack the engine up high enough.

Hope this helps.

out the bottom is only done if you have a striped car or lift.out the top is prefered.heres a tip, jack the rear of the car as high as you can get it.it makes the front lower and much easyer to pull the motor and trans as a unit that way.

just don't bash up your radiator cross member if you're going out the top .. much easier w/o the trans especially with an auto

I LOVE my leveler.

Gives you 4 points to mount, assures nearly perfect horizontal insertion/extraction, and noses up/down to help get trans in the tunnel.
