this is my '71 Road Runner, I owned about 12 years ago, it only had a couple of options A/C and an auto.trans, it was numbers matching and the motor and trans.that were built to stock specs. I added the '70 "Go Wing",front spoilers, strobe stripe, 15x8" & 15x7" steels and a 3.55 sure grip rear, this was my daily driver.

I have an unusual story about it, if anyone has seen the movie: "Payback" starring Mel Gibson, you'll know what I mean, anyways in the movie his girlfriend drives a '69 Road Runner, in one of the scenes she drives up and honks the horn "Beep-beep", well the horn in the car didn't work, and they figured they would add it in post production, well the audio engineer figured they would just add a regular horn, but the director "insisted" they use an original Road Runner horn, and it was up to the audio engineer to find it!
well he scanned the local classifieds and managed to find a '69 (owned by a friend of mine) he called him and found out it didn't even have a horn!, he asked my buddy if he knew of anybody that might have a working one locally, thats where I come in, (mine did work) he called me and I was 5 miles from the studio, the guy was there 10 minutes after he hung up, he had me honk it 6 times in different durations, and recorded it, he gave $60.00 (that was all the cash he had on him!), I would have done it for free, cause it was kinda cool, even though the movie didn't do very well, everytime I see that movie it gets to that scene and I laugh!....thats me in a Mel Gibson movie!!

Cool story. I like your tire/wheel combo

that is cool!! i will pay attention next time i watch the movie. i did like the movie... his character was all "principle" lol

Very cool! I would love to have a car or even a beep beep! from a movie or famous owner. It would just be a cool feeling every time you'd get in the car. Or in your case every time you honk the horn :D hahah Btw nice looking runner.
