Seeing how my '67 Belvedere suspension is a completely different world as a 2007 Honda accord, does anyone have any suggestions on getting an alignment done? Of course, I'll ask around to see if a shop has some older mechanics or just some young ones familiar with the cars, but short of that I don't have alot of confidence. Any ideas?

I took mine to big o...They have all the info on the computer as far as toe, caster and camber...They did a good job...

I'm guessing from a google search you're reffering to Big O Tires? If so, I've never seen or heard of them till now. However, it does give some confidence in some of the nationwide chains that they too would have the information I seek.

Just remember, they have to get the torsion bars adjusted right first so that they are even in ride height. Then they do the camber, caster and toe in. I think that is where a lot of people mess up on these old cars.

You mean the Honda is in a different world than the Belvedere? :D I have the specs if you need them but also keep in mind that the upper control arm adjusters do NOT turn full circle. If the alignment tech doesn't know this, run away quickly or you could be in for some problems. I had some moron turn mine on a pickup like that and it flared the ears back. After awhile I got tired of morons working on my cars and learned how to do it myself. Front end geometry isn't that hard to understand and the more you understand it, the better it is for you to know if you have a good mechanic working on it or not.

Our older Hunter 411 and our brand new state of the art Hunter Hawkeye system has all the software needed to align our old beauties...There is nothing unusual or special (in a suspension/steering sense) about our torsion bar sprung babies... Align on! I just did my buddies 70 Chamaro...

GM cars used shims for alignment while Mopar did not....and imo, that's what makes a Mopar different or unusual to a lot of the techs and over the years, I've run into a lot of alignment techs that have never worked on a Mopar and some even refuse to.
