Hi

Im looking for some literature over the specifications of the Nascar and Superbird. Some day I want to build a clone of one of these engines. And maybe build a whole car clone.
So I am grateful for tips that may help in the process.
Web sites, movies, people or what ever there might be.
Best reg

I wonder what kind of info you could get on these engines if you just called Petty

You can call Petty enterprise in level cross..I,m sure someone there will be happy to help you out...Yes they are still in business in Level Cross N.C.They are building new challengers for customers...Hey I got Richard Pettys assistence cell phone number if you need it....Maurice Petty was the brains in the engine building for Petty and he,s alive and kicking too....

Thanks, and I see that you came close with the "man" himself :)

i have a book called "SUPERCARS" the story of the dodge charger daytona and plymouth superbird by Frank Moriarty.I think i got it at barnes and noble or some book store like that.you might want to check with your local store and see if they can order one for you.hope that helps.

Try the web site Winged Warriors. They are a car club and do a lot around Daytona Beach. Very informative and links to other sites as well.

Supercars is an excellent book, but is long out of print at book stores. You can buy a used or sometimes even a new copy on Amazon from a book seller. Another nice photo book is "Chrysler Plymouth & Dodge Stock Cars" by Dr John Craft. It has many photos of the winged stock cars engine bays. Also available used on Amazon.
