Camber / Caster Alignment -- 1973 Roadrunner

I purchased new Outlaw wheels for my 73 Roaderunner at Town Fair Tire (a northeast chain). Their installation includes "free" front wheel alignment.

When I picked-up the car they showed me the alignment report (which indicated the need for both camber & caster adjustments), but they told me "there is no adjusment on that car for camber & caster".

I told them I found that very difficult to believe. They then responded "well, it can be adjusted, but it requires pulling out the motor and then making trial-and-error adjustments".

Their explanation doesn't sound plausible to me. Does anyone know what's required to adjust caster & camber on a 1973 Roadrunner? Thanks.
 
They're full of crap. It's done using the eccentrics on the upper control arms, accessible from the engine compartment and/or the wheel well
 
Holy crap...did the kid have sweaty palms and zits? Camber and caster is easily adjusted on all of our b-bodies...And you don't have to pull the engine to adjust toe either!
 
What you are experiencing is the norm nowdays because mechanics have no experience with the old cars, and their books don't include them.

If you have a factory service manual, bring it in to them and show them how the alignment is done.
 
My thanks to all of you ( 69 Runner, q-ship, and 66 b-body).

And "yes" it seems like mostly "kids" in their early 20s working at Town Fair Tire. They all come out and gawk at my car when I pull-in (I would assume they are supposed to be working).

I would have preferred if they just said "we don't know", or "it's too labor intensive", instead of some crazy story about "pulling the motor" to do the alignment.

Fortunately I have found a good mechanic a short distance from me. The guy owns a small collection of his own early 70s Mopars, and he's been fair & honest with me (the few times I've used him). Unfortunately he doesn't have an alignment machine, but I'm going to ask him to recommend someone local.
