Hello

I've been "lurking" for awhile and figured I'd sign up and say hi.
If I can get this computer figured out, I'll (hopefully) attach a picture of my 1969 Road Runner

Welcome! Nice looking RR. I don't remember seeing one that color before. Is it a factory or custom color?

Welcome fellow Canadian ,very nice car.Love the wheels also

Didnt they call that root beer brown, friend of mine back in the 70s had a 69 Bee that color and i think was original paint.

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome.
With regards to my cars colour, it is factory code T7 which was called Saddle Bronze Metalic on '69 Plymouth,Chrysler and Imperial models. It was called Dark Bronze Metalic on '69 Dodges.

Well there it is, a real live T7 69 roadrunner.

that's what mine is supposed to be.

Can you picture it with a white vinyl top? Because i think that's what i'm supposed to have too. Been a while since I looked at my fender tag but i'm pretty sure that's what i figured out.

I have the saddle tan interior, split bench up front with a 4 spd, air grabber hood. no idea if my hood was supposed to get the black stripes or not... kind of doubt it with the light colored vinyl roof, that would just be too busy looking.

Awesome bird. i know this is an old post so you might not catch this question but what are you running for wheels and tires?

thanks,

Dave

Hiya Dave,
I personally think a white vinyl top would REALLY spoil the look. Black top would be tolerable. I love this one exactly as presented.

That's how mine was optioned from the factory, I wish I could see what it would look like. I tend to agree it seems it would be too drastic a contrast... wish I had a picture of what my car originally looked like. it was repainted white with cartoon murals in 76 :sideways tongue:

Here's T5 with white top on a charger... not too shabby

(not T7 but close...)
