Can anyone point this newbee where to get weatherstrip(trunk, doors, quater post,cowl-hood, and felt sets) at a decent price for my leaky 67 Charger? Ebay prices are insanely high, or else my car is so rare that I am entitled to be raped? I am repairing rusted passenger floorboard and trunk with POR-15 system and am getting close to needing seals. Can ya help me?

PS.. I love this FBBO place! Great info and apparently great folks who give it!

Thanks everyone for making it happen!

Welcome to the world of first generation Chargers!! Honestly I haven't been digging for prices lately, but eBay seemed to have some package deals that saved you money. I don't remember brands though, so watch out for the quality.

By the way, I forgot to mention that there is a site specifically for 66-67 Chargers. It's 66-67charger.com . Great bunch of guys there that may be able to help you.

Thanks chrisd! I attempted to join 2 weeks ago.when I signed up, it said if I didn't hear from them shortly, to try again.I'll try again. The problem with the ebay guy with the best deal is in texas too, so that means TAXES for me! And I don't know about the quality of "soft?" brand. I heard they were too thick on the door seals...I need the whole shooting match, was looking at quarter seals from JC Whitney at 9 bucks a pair, decided to keep shopping...

Thanks for your help!

Hello. I have had soft seal products and metro supersoft products on my past projects. The soft seal I had to slam the doors very hard to get them to close ( payed a fortune too ). I would go with the metro supersoft if you can afford. They are both expensive, but do you really want to slam doors forever. Still had to slaam the doors after several years. I bet you get some pro's and cons on this subject. It's just my opinion. Good luck.

I gotta get a set for my 67 gtx. I'll be watching this thread. I'll probably end up at yearone as I gotta get some stuff there anyway. Anyone tried theirs yet?

I have a combo of seals that I have put on my 67 GTX...AS the previous post said the supersoft line tends to be too soft...The others I bought were from steele rubber products...Their stuff is the bomb...I,m pretty sure that Year one gets their stuff from steele, just like their interior stufff they get from legendary...Hope this helps!!!

hey 67 Charger, another houstonian here who wants to welcome you to the site.I will be watching too as i need some w/s for my 66 net.

Thanks for your thoughts everyone! I did decide to go with the Metro Soft product.I got a kit from eblay auction.(BIN) a pair of door seals, roof rails, quater glass rails, and trunk seal for 159.00usd,free shipping. I really need the beltline kit(also known as felts) for the window/body swipes. Still looking for a deal on that. I already did the underhood bumper kit. All little details for an old original 67, but collectively make a fine package. Thanks for the welcome guys! I'll try to post a few pixs of my project...the only other things I've done so far, besides rust treating the floorpans with POR 15, is strip the breather top and repaint it and add the decal.I need the lower breather pan seal so I can refinish it too. This is going to be fun!
