I know this is not a b-body,but it is one of my other projects that i am working on trying to get it in primer before the snow gets too deep.

I thought I had a rusty car, but I think you got me out classed with this one Roger. By the time you wrap this one up, you're gonna be a sheetmetal meastro of epic proportions.

Ouch! looks like the snow already got a bit too deep at some stage.
I saw a documentary on something similar, except it was about an Ocean Liner, the name escapes me but i'm pretty sure the name of it started with a T.

Don't forget the progress pics.

i had it in storage last year over the summer and i was going to take it out but the wife said wait until the next time i get home from the road. Well i got home and there was a 5 ft snow pile in front of the doors that was about 10 ft wide.I have a different front fender and the panels from a p/u will be welded in place. But that will have to wait till i get home next month and i will try and spend a couple days just working on that.

No, really, did you get a car with that pink slip? They were having a tent sale at the Lost City of Atlantis car lot?

I love Ramchargers and dude you got a project there. Keep the pics coming.

i got one patch on today and will work on the back one when i get back.I found out the sides of the p/u bed have a different curve underneath so i will have to match them as close as possible. Will put some pics up b4 i put the body filler on.

Reminds me of my 77 c-10. Ended up replacing the entire cab it was rotted so bad.

did some work yesterday on the trk, took the rear bumper off and found good ole' cancer.blew the cross support and had to wait a couple minutes for the dust to clear out.

thanks will, i hope to get the rest of the panels welded and in primer today.

Wow....any reason why you didn't hunt one down that was less rusty? I know it's getting harder to find nice ones but I still see them in my area.....

i bought this truck over 10 years ago from a friend of mine that we worked at the same trucking company. the guy knew he was dying from cancer so i told him that whenever he got ready to sell it to let me know.well a couple months went buy and he called me that he was ready to sell it, so i borrowed the money from my boss and got it after he had to quit driving.About a month and a half later he lost the battle with cancer so i never realy thought about looking for another one and it wasn't this bad when i got. It's just winter and salt roads in iowa not good for cars/trucks.

well i did get some more work done on the ram today. Not in primer like planned but getting closer.the first picture show the rocker panel that i had to form from sheet metal. After i cut the right size and made my lower lip,i then put the metal on top of two boards and took the steel pipe seen in photo and gently dropped it on the metal to give me my lower contour.I know that's probably caveman method but it work really well and matched up pretty good.Didn't get all the spot welds ground down, but will see if i get time tomorrow.
