Anyone Have Any Idea Where This Car May Be? Supposedly It Was Sold To Someone In Upstate New York 30 Years Or So Ago. We Raced This Car In 1968 Here In Central Pennsylvania And Is A 426 Max Wedge Car/727 TFlite/489 Gears/Hedman Headers/M&H Racemasters.

1964 Dodge Rigor Mortis

I am the current owner of the 64 Dodge Polara 2 door hardtop that was raced at York U.S. 30 Drag-O-Way in the 60's.

Yes, I am the current owner of " Rigor Mortis ".

The original owner was Jim Hartenstein of New Freedom, Pa.

What an awesome car, it's really cool to see this kind of thing. I sure am glad "Rigor Mortis" never lived up to its name, stiff and forgotten in a scrap heap!

I'm Am So Glad I Asked About The Car Here On FBBO! I Haven't Seen It Since 1967 When Jim Cousler From Here In York Owned It. After That It Left Pennsylvania And Went To New York State! Sent PM!

The Car Went From Jim Hartenstine To Jim Cousler And Then He Sold It. While It Was Here In York, Jim, Bill Weaver And Myself Worked On The Car And Each Of Us Got A Chance To Drive It In Competition. My First Time Out I Was Matched Up With Jere Stahl's Hemi 67 Plymouth Belvedere. I Guess You Can Figure Out Who One That Round! I Saw Plymouth Tail-Lights Most Of The 1/4 Mile! It Also Ran Against Darrell Vitone's EMPI Inch Pincher--The World's Fastest Volkswagen One Night At York, $500 Bounty On The VW. Six Cars Tried, Six Cars Got Beat! Nightmares About That Damn VW!:angry1:

Terry, it was great talking to as well about your personal history racing " Rigor Mortis "
It sounds like you, Bill and Jim had a blast racing Rigor!
I'll stay in touch with you.

Thanks again, Mike.

Wow, that's all I can say!!!!!

very nice car.....wish I had it.....

Dusting off another old thread!

It is a nice car...I ran a black on black 1964 Polara 500 when York US30 was still up and running!

Looked very similar to this one.
