One problem after another. So I pop in my seats in after painstakingly covering these myself. THE LEFT BELT ALIGNMENT FROM TOP COVER TO BOTTOM IS PERFECT. THE RIGHT HAND SIDE IS OFF 1 3/8 OFF. THEY DID NOT STITCH THE TOP COVER TO THE SAME DIMENSIONS AS THE BOTTOM. These were custom made. I am done with the front buckets and HOW ARE THEY GOING TO MATCH THE DIE COLOR. ITS ALWAYS SOMETHING.

Yeah. I called them up today and thank god they are 40 minutes away. I will have to bring them to them. Paid 1k for those covers and I installed them myself. Maybe that's why I fought them on. Because they were short. Took them 8 weeks to make em. I will keep everyone posted because I raved about that company.

I had a lot of issues with mine too. I was expecting them to be perfect, I guess I expected too much. The pleats where different sizes and the stitching didn't even match their chalk lines. I even had some stitching come away from the bottom. I called them and emailed them photos, they wanted my to take it off and ship it back to them, but I'm in Canada and it would have been $$ to send them back.

They look good in the car but definitely not restoration quality.

I am sorry to hear about that. They should be perfect. I paid $1100 dollars for mine ( I installed them to save money ). I dropped mine back off to there shop three weeks ago and have called several times to find the status out on them and they have not returned my call. I used to rave about them but there customer service is starting to suck.

I have to agree about their poor customer service.

I bought seats for my 73 Roadrunner around 1992. About 5 years ago, I had a couple of button tops come off. I called to buy replacements and they kindly told me they would give them to me. But FOR FOUR YEARS I CALLED frequently and finally begged them to let me BUY some so I could get them. Always NOTHING. I wasn't until I made a fuss at Carlisle that I finally got my buttons.

Now, just about 6 weeks ago the drivers seat suffered a catastrophic rip in the seam. I have emailed them several times and have gotten NO RESPONSE.

If I was a pain in the a$$ and demanding free covers, I could understand. But I am merely contacting them to try and determine my best method to get the seat fixed or replaced.

AT LEAST CONTACT ME BACK!!! :angryfire::angryfire::angryfire:

Damn Dave...i've only heard good things bout legendary.

it sucks to hear about your BS experience with them.

been thinkin of buy some bits and pieces for da GTX'er, but haven't pulled the trigger quite yet, and now im def. going to hold off to see what happens.

legendary supposed to be worth the $$$, but they're not showin' it so far.

hope it works out in the end for ya!! Mario

My question is, Who else sells full Interiors for the B-Body? I am looking for a full interior and did not think I had a choice.

Dave, Sorry to hear about your dilema. I bought a complete interior for the 68 Chicken almost 10 years ago from Ledgendary.when I first bought the car. I mean all of it!! Seat covers ,door panels , carpet ,weatherstriping etc. I sat in boxes here for 10 years , untill this past month , when I paid an upholsterer to do the seats. Thank God it all fits and is done right. I mean what recourse would I have after all that time? Good news for me was I only paid 1200.00 for all that then. Anyhow, I have always heard just good things about Legendary. Stay at it , I'm sure they will satisfy you if you push them hard enough. Check my interior at the resto thread Golden Rotisserie Chicken.

I think PUI Interiors but I heard there quality is not so good. I DONT THINK THERE IS ANYBODY ELSE. AS LONG AS THEY MAKE IT RIGHT. I WOULD GO WITH LEGENDARY.

Update: So I called Legendary several times but never got a call back. Finally, I connected in to the sales department rather than the service department. Once I spoke to a live person I got some help - bought a replacement bottom for the drivers seat - $93.

I am happy I finally got resolution to this and avoided having to pay for a full set of seat covers. However, I'm still a bit miffed that I didn't even get the courtesy of a return call or email....

I have used the PUI stuff many times in the brand X cars. The cover itself is much thinner then the Legendary stuff but the fit and look is excellent on the PUI.

Guessing the stuff that PG sells is PUI also.

Glad to hear you got it settled. I am waiting on mine.

Dave,

Good luck with your covers. It seems that it is hard to get a hold of the right person at Legendary, and that can be frustrating. However, once you do and they work on the issue, they seem to come through.

Since you now have an acknowledgement that they are working on the covers, I am hopeful they will come out fine.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Hawk

Ron, While I am happy for Dave, looks like you have done a great job and they look miles better than the covers in my Belvedere maybe you should revisit the 67 Belvedere covers to see if that master pattern should be adjusted too. If mine last a season I think I'll be lucky, the stitching is coming apart on a bunch of places and it would be nice if the pleats were equal in size. Very disappointed.

Wow Lail1985....quite the salesman..lol. Product looks great. Just to give legendary a pad on the back, all my cars, including the ones I have now have legendary interiors in them and I have always been impressed. That includes the recent covers on my buckets for my '69 RR (below). Great to hear you guys are taking care of Dave and making sure you have a happy customer. Just doing that is going a heck of a lot further than a lot of other vendor's will do now days.
