68 gtx

WannaDrag the 68 GTX project is looking good , nice clean work area, I like that, keep up the great work...
 
Today i finished up the metal work.Repaired a couple bad spots in the rear glass channel.Pulled the front glass today and looked pretty much like new under the gasket.One little repair on the lower trunk lip,some grinding and done.Next on the list is pulling the dash then the engine to start cleaning up the grease pit under the hood.
 
Pretty productive day today.Dash and heater assembly out along with getting the engine pulled.Next weekend will be cleaning the grase pit up under the hood.

Some progress but not alot.Dam job that pays the bills is getting in the way again.lol
Fun stuff removing a couple of repaints plus a clear coat.

i can't believe i miss this.you sure did get a lot of work done in a short time.
 
Progress looks great Jay. Same problem here.....jobs got me running around like a crazy ape. Have a good memorial weekend!
 
Making some headway while the car is away at the bodyshop.Engine is pretty much ready with a dupont overhaul.Fresh gaskets and valve seals and a coat of paint.I am also pretty close on the dash still need to get and change out the curcuit board.

Looking good, make sure you finish the GTX before you get started on the new 73 Dart..LOL... just kidding, it's looking really nice

Your to late,i already am on the Swinger.Daughter turns 16 this fall and i may give it to her.Still have a couple weeks till the GTX is back home so i gotta make hay while the sun shines.
 
Progress and yes its back in my shop.Body guy was renting space and the owner of the shop decided no more body work there.So my shop is his new shop till the car is done.At least i can see i can see the progress daily.Doors are ready,deck lid in epoxy.

Little more progress,the rear 1/4s are close.Lots of small waves and ripples from the way they are stamped to be addressed.Hood is also close.I would think by the end of next week the body work should be really close.The body guy is no speed demon but does nice work.
