I got my most miles at once on the RR today.

She only makes 4 pounds of oil pressure at idle,
the engine is worn badly with a ton of blow by,
the front end needs rebuilt,
the magnet on the sunroof to keep the edges from leaking is stuck and wont come off,
the AM radio wont work even with the new antenna I got for it,
needs a new gas tank,
fuel gauge not working,
no one makes a headliner for it
cant get horn working,

but she did ten miles up to 50 - 55 ,
the brakes work great,
handled safe,
she did not overheat,
all the lights working,
and she does not look bad from a distance driving by

and she sounds great.

Yard driver status officially ended.

Nice car. That will look really sharpe when you get her done. I'd be pretty concerned with that low oil pressure though... Have you checked the obvious for the low pressure (pickup, pump etc.)? Having a worn motor is one thing but that low oil pressure may end its days really fast. You may want to consider a rebuild while it's still on your terms.

The engine is a later 70s 318 not original to it.
Thrown in just to get the car moving.

The kind of engine with a lifter or two that may or may not pump up,
and a decent amount of shavings stuck to the magnet on oil changes....

one foot in the grave and one on a banana peel...

I hope to get a LA 360 block drilled for magnum heads and build that,
a junkyard complete magnum with accessories,
or a crate stoked to 400,
not sure.

will be awhile before I am saved up for it.
