This is a very rare #'s matching 1970 Plymouth Belvedere Police Package car. 383-4 barrel (standard police package for that year) "K" code belvederes barely exist. Just about all have been crushed. It is originally out of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. It was purchased at a county auction and eventually taken on a road trip to Texas in the mid 1990's. I purchased it and brought it to New York approximately 1 1/2 years ago. I began disassembling the car with the intention of completely restore her. My plans have changed so I put her back together as far as I thought necessary considering she does need restoration, and now she is ready to be sold. This is an extremely solid and extremely rare 43 year old classic. Perfect project for you vintage police car enthusiasts. I have the original build sheet and original fender tag. I created 2 walk around videos. One prior to me putting her back together and the second after. I created a third and final video on 4/19/12, the day I attempted to start her. She hasn't been started since approximately 1995 or 1996. A little gasoline, fresh oil, and she fired right up. Not one bit of smoke and idles as smooth as can be. Incredible! I love these old mopars! Check out all three videos and read the narrative below each video. $4300

70 Police Package

Car is mostly complete. Needs master cylinder, fan, and some of the linkage from motor to tranny. I really wish I could keep the car. It is such a rare find and solid. I picked up a 68 police package belvedere and am restoring that instead. Wife said I couldn't keep both...I am sure some of you can relate to that. I will consider serious and reasonable offers. Thanks for the comments.

I live relatively close to Buffalo and would be willing to look at this car and give an honest, objective report to any serious potential buyers that are members of this site.

As you can see from my videos, there is the common floor pan and trunk pan corosion as well as some corosion along the lower channel of rear window, but the rest of the car is extremely solid. While the car was apart I took some photos of the inside of and underside of the 4 doors showing how clean and rust free they were. My plan was to replace the floor pans and inner trunk pan (trunk pan extensions are good). Someone could get away with just replacing the inner trunk pan and patching floor pans as they aren't that bad. This car has only been in California and Texas until I bought it and it has been in my heated garage since. I have been looking for these late 60's and early 70's B Body police package cars for several years now. I know of one other 70 and wouldn't be surprised if my 70 is one of only a few that still exist. There are some clones out there but the police package cars are rare.
