Just acquired an A12 Coronet this week, made its way from MA to Ontario Canada via my trailer this week--It is Car #72 in the 69 1/2 six pack Registry.
Pretty solid good looking driver as is( older 80's resto) --r4 red--- black vinyl roof, its all there --has a few issues but nothing I can,t deal with and improve on over the next few years.
Be getting acquainted with it over the next few weeks and probably have questions for some of you guys that have been into them for a while.
Have a few A body's in the A body forum under skips 69 swinger resto.
Cheers
Gary

Thanks for the welcome, once I get er cleaned up I will post some pics has been a busy week with travel to get it ,paper work, getting a certificate of safety & working at my job in between--should be home in my shop tonight--will snap some pics and post tomorrow.

Well its been a busy week but finally sitting in my space.
Its not a trailer queen but pretty darn nice for a early 80's resto, paint showing its age but still looks nice.Sounds strong & runs clean.
Underside is all original solid metal.Just going to enjoy it as is and improve on whats there over time. Im sure you guys will point out things for me as we go. Should be enough pics to give you an idea of the condition. Has'nt seen the road since 06.

Thanks for the kind words guys, being new to the B body world I think I will be using this site a lot as I go and probably get more familiar with a lot of you, I know the A body site was a huge source of information as I restored my Dart Swingers.

I talked with the owner at the time of the auction, he said that he was holding out for 60K. If you don't mind me asking, were you able to get him down any?

Sorry for the delay just got back from a weeks vacation with the lady of the house.
I did manage to get him down a bit from his asking price.
Can,t wait to start slowly cleaning and detailing this car, pretty happy with it so far.
Had to have a safety inspection done in order to have title changed up here, needed a reverse light bulb replaced that was all it needed. Awsome.
Got a few gauges that don,t work but I will sort them out.

Side scoops

Being new to the b body world ----why do some 69 coronets have side scoops and some do not, I do not see a code listing that would indicate this?
