Does anyone have any factory pictures of the rear of a '75 RR that will show what kind of exhaust tips were used on these cars? I have been told that they used the same tips as E body Challengers. I have a set of 68-70 Plymouth tips on it now. They look OK, but I want what would have been on there originally.

I Googled "1975 Road Runner pictures" and got about a gazillion hits...none of which show a good shot of exhaust tips. Are they a secret? Some very cool cars, though. I just decided that I really, REALLY like that body style. Best part? No opera windows. Besides the horrible bumpers thats my main bugaboo about my own "Forgotten B-body".

This is the best I can do, and I don't know if they are stock or not?

these are definitly my favorite of the forgotten Generation

i am pretty positive there was no chrome tip option for a 75 runner.i know these pics are the fury lineup, but from everything i have seen and read there is no mention of chrome tips.

As you can tell by this factory brochure, there is some kind of tip on this car. This is just not good enough of a picture to get a good look at it. I bought my car from the original owner, and he told me there was tips on it when he bought it new in Dec 1974. He is going to look through some old pictures to see if he can find a shot of the back end of the car. I am not very hopeful.

75 Runners came factory equipped with Challenger style exhaust tips.
Hope this helps.

Tony, How are you progressing with your '75?

It's taken a lot of time, effort and headache after headache, but the car is finally out of paint. Will be tackling interior just as soon as I get as I recover from the psychological stress of doing something stupid like attempting a rotisserie resto on the beast.

On the up side, it looks good!

The '75 brochure promises a standard "dual exhaust 318 V8" and later says it has a full dual exhaust system with chrome tips.

There is also an "N-91" catalytic converter delete option which substitutes the AIR injector or "smog pump" on 318 models.

What engine does your RR have?
