late model hemi into early b bodies

I did this so anyone wanting to run the car or 6.1 manifold could do so and ditch the truck manifold. You will need to make brackets for the alt. and a/c, but if you put in a hemi, this should be easy. I can do this on an exchange basis and so pm me and I'll give details. I included a few pics to show what I have done, you may have a different alt. and a.c compressor so your brackets may be different than what I did.
I've been considering the same thing but also cutting of the A/C brackets since I only need an Alt. But good work, looks good.

Good news for me...I got some Ca. black plates from another member, and the DMV says that they are good for me use on my car!! So all I need to get is YOM sticker and fill out the form, turn in my current plates and it's done. My car came with 1 black plate, but I never did find the other one when I started the resto mod. Now it will be an original Ca. built car with black plates once again.

That's cool Zack... there is something special about seeing the black plates... the new white ones just take away from the effect.

I just got new plates on my 89 Cherokee... have you seen how they now have the stupid CA DMV web URL on them? Like who the hell would see a license plate and be like 'gee, the dmv website... I'm gonna check that out!'.

Anyway, good job on the black plates.

Wow! If I knew you were looking I have a set of black CA. 64 plates. :headbang:

I gotta say thanks to lxmodguy for the plates, so thank you very much!!

I have always had an eye out for some plates, and lxmodguy had some and was gracious enough to let me get them. Cant wait to get them registered to my car so I can restore them.

You've been a tremendous help with my project. I have been out of the classic mopars for the last 20 years. It was the least I could do considering all the questions you've answered for me

Hey Zack, just wondering if you had a chance to play with your new In-Tune? I think my car is running a smidge rich ( by the nose test ) I don't have any data to back it up. I know with the Predator you can adjust fuel up / down. Does the In-Tune monitor Air/fuel Ratio? If your car is also running rich, that might explain the poor fuel mileage.

Mike, I have a trinity, not an in-tune, so. I cant help ya

Your right, but I only know enough to get into some deep sh!t. Thats why I haven't tried to adjust the fuel trims.

I would strongly suggest finding someone who is a CMR tuner to tune your car post gen3. There is a HUGE range of adjust ability in the CMR software, there is just enough ability on the hand held devices to mess stuff up.

Have you been able to put together any logs yet. I have been traveling a lot, but if you have any logs to send me I will maul them over as I sit in hotels this week

Donny...California Black Plates are what were issued to Ca. auto from 63-69 and add value to any original Ca. car of those years. Hence the the black plates are sought after and good one go for alot of money on ebay (check it out) some are stupid $$$. Mine had only one black plate that I found while doing the teardown and I have been on the hunt for a set for the last 7 years.

Brian, I havent done any driving, trying to sort out the ac/fans and I'm gonna get a controller from Ron Francis, it will do all I want and just use 1 fan while the ac is on and the other will kick on when needed or both will run when needed according to engine temp. Also as I said, I dont know jack didilly, so that's why you got the job, lol!!

The only way to learn how to use the programmer is to do it. Having to pay someone every time you want to make a small change can get very costly.

I just new drilled, black zinc coated 11.75 disc's and the caliper adapters, guess I know what I'm doing next week. I will post the drilled 10.87 rotors and caliper adapters in the for sale section when I do the swap.

The programmer has 1/100th of the functionality of the tuning package. I have over $5000 invested in my CMR software alone.

As far as the only way to learn is to jump in there and do it....you pay for the experience and knowledge. It would be like doing home liposuction with a box knife and a shop vac. Sure it will the get the job done, but what kind of problems are you going to have down the road.

It isn't worth the hassles

The wheels I got on Ebay for less than 500, and they are Foose rims. the fronts are 15x7 245/60 and the rear is 15x8 275/60 the fit is really good.

Those are awsome wheels! do you know the Back Spacing? I ordered Crager Eliminator 500 series and same size tires, based on my measurements they will fit. rear are 4.5" BS.................Also wanted to say thanks for all your help on my questions over the last few months. Very helpful.......

The backspace on both front/rear is 4 inch. No need for thanks, asking questions is how we all learn.
