Im in the process of installing a new search system right now. Give it a day or two and seach should be improved.

Plese correct me if im wrong ,but if you ground out the fuel gauge wire at the tank and the gauge goes to full its in the tank,if not it s the gauge.

you are correct.if you ground the wire at the tank end the guage should run up to full with the key on.that would tell you the wiring and guage are ok.check for ground wire from sender to body of car first.if there, pull the sender and test with ohms meter, should read from 10 to about 90 ohms.
if guage dosnt run up test wiring from back to cluster first.if good, the prob is in the cluster and could be several problems there, normally the guage if all other guages are working good.
