I have a non-factory A/C 72 Road Runner and I want to add an aftermarket A/C system to my car.I have been in touch with classic auto air about there 70-74 E body/71-74 B body kit.Does anybody have any expierence with installing this kit? They said some mods will have to be done to put the kit in a B body.My main concerns are that I want to use the factory vent locations not the underdash option. And also I was told that the control switch assy. would need to be modified I believe due to location. If anyone has any info about this conversion I would be very grateful.Thanks.

Looking at the same kit. From the way they explained at classic auto, their kit can be modified to use factory style a/c vents with relative ease. I was told they supply a template for the heater box mod at the firewall. The controls do not change as I understand. They supply new cables to control and the fan switch has an off position. Seems very simple from what he told me over the phone. Just finishing up other things on the car first before I commit to this kit.

Maybe I should call and talk to who you did.I recieved return e-mails from a Dwight Dow He recomended that i use the underdash bezel because he has a note the in dash louvers dont fit.He also said that my stock heater only controls are different but does not know what the difference is.Do you know who you spoke with at classic auto air.Thanks.

If you need any help with Classic Air on a local level they are 8 miles from me here in Tampa...Ask...I used them back in 1993 and was over again 2 months ago..Rick 70RR
