hi guys. took the Belvy out for a bit last night . cruisin' around Canonsburg Pa. , i see some action at the Sonic restaurant. i turn around and pull in. i go down the 1st aisle and spot me a '66 satellite.....so NATURALLY i park next to him. i get out of my car and peer into the opened hood and what do i see?.....AN ORIGINAL '66 SATELLITE WITH A 426 HEMI !!!!!!.

ME AND THE DUDE START TALKING AND HE TELLS ME HE ORDERED THIS CAR BACK IN 1966 WITH THE HEMI. the car is totally stock and he used to race it. the inspection sticker is dated 1972 , when he took it off the road, and the wiper reservoir is signed this year by BIG DADDY DON GARLITZ!. a total TRUE SURVIVOR ! original EVERYTHING. he was a nice old dude and didnt mind at all talking to the sasquatch for a few hours !!! heres some pixx :

WAY cool. The roads around there are more suited to an AAR Cuda than a Hemi Satellite, though. Somebody have one I can borrow the next time I come down to visit the daughter? I promise I won't mistreat it.

OK;how about a new Challenger? That would work...

cool old car

nice car I didnt think there was anything still going on around here this time of year

great story!Cannonsburgh is only about an hour from me, but with working 21 turn,, I;m always at work when this stuff goes on.

That hemi looks really clean.

yeah BIGMAN. he had it out to "freshen it up" by guru Bob George. all the relays and whatnot were mounted on a plate on the drivers side inner fenderwell coz that Hemi is too big and there would be no way to get to them. i was just like ....wow....wowwwwwwwww...........wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww... for about an hour. i couldnt believe what i was seeing. the body was perfect.... no rust but you could tell it was " driven" . he even said he would let me drive it sometime...i cant wait for that day !

Very cool. I hope that's someone's spilled Sonic shake leaking under the engine in the last pic, and not a vital fluid...?

The only rust on that car was the lower front fenders were the owner took off the hemi emblems and had the dealership spay the area blue again after the holes were filled. The dealer paint was poop, and rusted quicker. Kind of street racer sleeper. I saw the car at Bob's when he was "freshening" it up last year. Guy had the car only 12 miles from where Bob's place is. He walked up to a guy at a show with a 67 GTX and said, "hey I've got this old hemi Plymouth and would like to get it running again. Who around here does good work?" Frank, guy with 677 GTX said Holy Cow! I know just the person.

Great story! Reminds me of my 66 Belvedere hemi - cept the fact this one is running, looking good and it's a Sat with an auto. Other than that it's exactly the same!

dam...youre right next door. Bob George is a bit too pricey for me,,,besides, my Mopars go fast enuff just the way they are!
