dash chrome paint ?

is there any paint or some sort of finish out there that an ordinary person can apply. IE....silver/chrome around dash bezels on 67 coronet ??

Eastwood carries some products that are suppose to be a little better than typical silver metalic paint. Might give them a try. However, nothing beats having the bezel and other plastic dash trim professionally plated.

i just used duplicolor "chrome" paint that i picked up at orielly.did several of my interior trim peices and they cam out nice.a bit shinyer then just silver paint,but by no means is it chome.still looks really good and the price was right.

Go to your local hobby shop and ask for baremetal foil or Alclad chrome paint, both will work on a budget.

Funny you should mention GCAR. A year ago they did my inst. bezel, A/C vents and glove box door...all turned out great, but my father-in-law has been trying to get a hold of for over a month now to get his A/C vents done. No one answers the phone and he can't get a return email or return phone call. Maybe he has enough work?

GCAR just finished the dash bezel for my 65 Belvedere. He can be a little difficult to get a hold of. I think he is busy right now. I sent my bezel in August and it is on its way back to me now.
Best chance is to try phoning Glenn on Tues, Wed, or Thurs.

Looks like good stuff.

I used Crome rattle can. Sprayed some in a plastic cup and used a Q-tip. The Q-tip was the perfect size for the channel and came out real good on my '66 Charger dash.

I may do it again using the Alclad for a little more shine.

I have yet to use a spray can and be happy...the caps all show a super chrome look but turn out to be dull silver in reality

Im going to give Alclad a try on my dash,but it may be hard to come by in Canada,since they have banned Lacquer paints

I don't think so but the foil is so thin that the seams are barely visible. I'm very happy with the way mine turned out.

Baremental foil only comes in 12 inch length and is 6.5 inches wide. you can do it in as many pieces as you need you wont see the seam or over lap unless your straining to look for it. this stuff is very thin and flexible with a sticky backing.

tried the paint pen suggested....now trying bare metal chrome as the paint pen came out "silver"...not anywheres near chrome
