price gauge for motor/tranny

I am about to do a hemi swap in my doba and was wondering what I should ask for the current motor/tranny package I have now.

I have a factory '79 360 bored .060 over, flat top KB pistons, stock crank, rods, heads. Complete rebuild in 06, + valve job, edlebrock cam, lifters, intake. I have a 6 month old MSD E-Curve all digital distributor. No need for a ignition box, and it also has the full march performance serpentine belt system, with the sanden 508 compressor and a built 170 amp alt. It has the black wrinkle mopar performance valve covers and round air cleaner. This would be a complete motor minus carb, tranny was rebuilt in 08 when the other one failed, and this one has a slightly higher than stock stall in it. Motor and tranny all work perfectly and I am on the fence about selling it, but it would just set in the shop collecting dust and I dont see me ever going back to the 360 after the hemi is installed.

I am just trying to get a fair price together as to what I should ask for for the package.
All the machine work was top notch and the heads were milled just a little along with the block being decked, line honed and all that jazz.

The pics are right after I got the motor back in, in 06. It has since had the new distributor and now has red wires.

Sorry, wouldn't know a decent price range but PLEASE KEEP US UPDATED ON THE HEMI DOBA lol. has it even been done? Hope to get a hemi in my cordoba some day.

Man the 360 looks small in that engine bay once it's cleaned up.

Nice combo. I would say in the 3K neighborhood. Gonna be tough to find somebody with money right now though. Christmas comin, craptastic economy, uncertain election.....tough time.

Yeah im not in hurry to sell so time is okay.

As far as being done I don't think so. I have talked to a dozen shops that do hemi swaps and none have ever seen a doba. I got the whole motor tranny pcm and harness cheap so this should be pretty cost effective thing and badass when im done. 5 speed alone will be awesome. I will post pics as I go.

Forgot to ask: are you going old school or new school hemi?

I got a 06 truck motor and tranny amd they are in. I am going to pull them to clean up the engine bay before it goes in permenately but otherwise it fits. I had to shave some spots on the tranny case and had to make some space on the driverside floor board. Didnt really wanna cut a whole in the floor but after all is said and done it will be a small spot to allow for the rear sensor and the shift linkage.
