I have also talked to Janek, seems like he makes 2 versions of the wing - a cheap one out of fiberglass around $650 that weighs only 14-18lbs or a very high quality with the best composites on the market today which i think is steel reinforced? says it weighs the same as the original superbird wing (about 45lbs) and just as strong-if not stronger. also adjustable. But comes in at $1400. Both wings will have to have some fabricating on your end to make the base of the pedestals fit the 71-72 body line...

I found the same guy and I just sent him pics of the wing I want for my 73 charger.

I guess he checked out his superbird wing on a buddy's 72 - fits level, problem is the base of the pedestal, of coarse but he's pretty confident that he can make it work and look good..

I also found out why the all the wings are mounted towards the middle - its so the rear of the wing lines up with the back of the car like on the superbirds...
 
Yea, he told me $1500 for wing + $250 for the mounts + shipping for steel and aluminum one, he never mentioned the fiberglass one.

Try looking at some C4 corvettes. Also if you find one that needs to be rebuilt dont worry if its cheap you can fix. I found a video on youtube of a kid rebuilding it with just a few parts.

I had a 96 LT-4 Vette and I would think the lights would look good in the nose. I wonder if they didn't use the same doors for those years.
 
I thought about the c4 vette. I have a c5 and thought about those but just looking. Thanks for the info. btw I talked to Jeremy at mcc.com he said he may try to do one. He said he may try to do one for himself first. Talked like he was booked up. There is a place here local that says if I an draw it they can build it.......just needed the head light ideals. Again Thanks for the info!

Yeah Jeremy has gotten really busy. He stopped his main job and went full time into building cars. I keep telling him I want to do a build off against some of the big names in the car world and I think he would give them a run for their money and win.

If it can be done and done to perfection he will do it. He's building a sick looking Mustang or was the last time I talked to him. I used to talk daily to him but he has been really busy.

Its also funny that the cars he's built for himself most he has not been able to finish because someone comes a long and offers him crazy money for the car.

Yeah I like the C4 Vettes some really cool cars and the lights just look right to me like they would fit and be Superbird like. If you can find anyone to do it let me know and I will give him a shout and see what the status is on what he is doing. The 66 Charger he is doing as well is just sick and clean lines man.

I bet he would build a whole car if you asked him.

I looked up some c4 headlights. I like that ideal found a few on ebay for a good price. Yes I told him that you sent me. Again Thanks for the help!

Hey Tommy no problem man. Have you checked wth any salvage yeards in your area? To buy new I want to say they are over $300 a light. To rebuild them yourself is not that high I think the kid spend hundred or less in rebuilding them. He replaced the plastic bushing with brass bushings.

Keep us posted if that is how you go with the lights I think the size would look close to the original ones. I would love to build one of these cars. I like what if cars.

That is what I was thinking for my 74 Charger. Once my wife gets back to work I can pull it off or at least buy all the parts.

Oh that would be cool. I would love to see something different on the 73-74 cars I think a lot of collectors or hot rodders just do no look at the later Mopars. That would look awesome too! What color?

I just got off the phone with a guy that had a craigslist ad for metal fab. He said if you can draw it on a napkin he could build it.....So I call..... I said I needed a nose cone for a 72 wing car.... He said I have seen the drawings from chrysler for the birds that never was...... I crapped my pants.... He said that he has seen gary and pams cars and loved the look. He would love to do one. I said great but.... its about price and I know it is hard to guessamate. He said i promise it will be a 1000 or less.... I said WOW....I 'm interested.... I said was thinking about c4 lights . He said I can make the superbird lights work. can I come and take some measurments? Tomorrow? Hes driving 40+ miles to look at it. I will post tomorrow and let you know if my bubble gets busted.Right now I'm PUMPED!

Is he going to build the Superbird lights? Or do they reproduce those?

That is cool that he knew what you were talking about most would be like what? So that is cool keep us posted on it. There is a market for these kits and the more parts get put out there for 71-74 cars more will get saved and turned into different animals.
