I've always admired Hemi Road Runners. Who doesn't, right? Well, I was poking around Mecum's website and I saw these two cars at the upcoming Kissimmee, Florida auction. I couldn't help thinking how unusual it was to see 2 Hemi Road Runners at the same auction. Mecum is promoting the auction as 10 days with over 3000 cars, but still...I was surprised. For e-body fans, there is an original hemi cuda too (lot s123).

Is now a good time to buy - is the market still soft?

The blue one is too sweet. better have a good wad of cash to pick up that one.

I'm glad we're having fun with this thread.

If we multiply your 6k with my 12k, I'm thinking we have a good shot for the red one. We'll probably need a 3rd party to get the blue one. How are we going to do the timeshare - doh!
 
Time share is easy..LOL
we only have about 90 days of straight sunshine up here in the NW...LOL SO I would only get the car for 3 months. That leaves 9 months to be split up...LOL overlapping sumer seasons would have to be alternated
 
Sounds fair to me! Between gas, tickets and insurance hikes, I'd only be able to drive it 3 months a year anyway...but it would be an awesome three months!

Anybody have input concerning the market for hemi cars, particularly hemi Road Runners right now? Could anyone speculate on an expected value or range for either car?
 
I'm going down there for the first 4 days...I'll go see them!

From my point of view across the Atlantic ocean I would not hope to much for the american economy to regain it strength for the next couple of years.
We have some problems in Europe too, but not in the same magnitude, it is a BIG differens between Greece, Spain etc. and the US.

I belive the market for used cars have not reached the bottom yet.
 
i have a couple of C notes if someone wants to take me for a joyride
 
my cousin sold his 69 hemi RR a few yrs back for 85k or somewere around there...it was blue with white interior and had very low miles, since it was a race car from the day it was new..he sold it back to the original guy that bought it new,,i herd they took it to one of the big auctions not long ago and it didnt sell and they had too pay 5k in fees anyways..i think the markets still good..just the prices are coming back down to earth finally..
