Being aluminum, that is an overdrive case. But like you, I have no idea of its worth.

Don't know if it is or not. I can't find these part numbers anywhere.

The numbers you're lookin for would be on that flat machined pad on the main case in the first picture. Since it didn't come in anything, it may not be stamped. As I said, if it's an aluminum case, it IS for an overdrive. There were no A833 non overdrives that were aluminum, but there was a cast iron overdrive. Judging from the tailshaft of yours, it looks like it would have been an F body transmission like an Aspen or Volare. Same as an A body transmission.

I'll take it with my next load of beer cans.

There was a limited run of A bodies made to be gas misers and those were called the Feather Duster or Dart Light. The aluminum 4 spd case and tail shaft were part of the package if ordered with a 4 spd. My guess is this is what you have.

I have a bunch of 4 spd parts and may throw a few bucks your way.
