oil, how much?

440 has milodon 7qt oil pan and stock size oil filter
dont have original dipstick but have an aftermarket milodon one that has no marks on it how much oil should i be putting in?

anyone know?

A basic Milodon deep sump pan and stock filter is good for 8 qts.

at that point i put in 7 qts and mark the stick. add 1qt and mark the stick.

There is a guy on ebay selling aftermarket sticks with marks like $10 us or less I think billet handle?

I have the same set up and same problem. Milodon 7qt pan and Milodon stick. The problem I run into is seeing the fresh oil on that stick... I wish they would have bead blasted the bottom few inchs of it.

i just did today what shag said, put 7 qt in pulled stick out marked a little notch with grinder then put another qt in an marked it. and i am using brad penn break in oil its almost as thin as water but seemed to just work
